I think I’ve found a problem with how copy/paste is handled in WordPress’s Gutenberg editor. If you try to paste content that includes anything that’s been commented on in Microsoft Word, nothing happens.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make a new Word document
2. Type two paragraphs
3. Highlight some text and add a comment on the second paragraph using Review -> New Comment
4. Copy/paste the first paragraph into the WordPress post editor
5. Copy/paste the second paragraph, with commented text, into the WordPress post editor
What happens:
– The first paragraph is copied successfully
– Upon hitting paste with the second paragraph, nothing happens
What should happen:
– Both paragraphs should paste
Versions:
– WordPress 5.2.1
– Microsoft Word 16.16.12

]]>This pdf file is updated every 15 minutes and I was looking at a way to automatically import /update the pdf file to a specific page.
The pdf file is created by Microsoft Access and updated in the application every 15 minutes and saved to a folder on my local computer replacing the existing pdf.
I do not know if this is possible to automate the process but hopefully there is a plugin that may help?

]]>I have followed https://www.php.net/manual/en/xmlrpc.installation.php
I have ensured that my VPS server has the php-xmlrpc extension installed in apache…running php -w in putty ssh command line shows the above extension in the list.
I have ensured that the directory I am trying to post to is correct…
https://mydomain.com/wordpress/xmlrpc.php
the username is my wordpress admin login and I have checked to make sure this is correct (by logging into wordpress directly…all good)
I have ensured that ftp.mydomain.com A record is setup at registrar (yep done)
I have checked my ftp user is working on the server by logging into ftp using FileZilla (all good)
one small thing I note here…the ftp user for the server is not the same as the admin user I log into wordpress dashboard with. Is this a problem?
On the MS Word side of things I am having all sorts of problems.
I am not sure which protocols Word is using to upload the blog post to wordpress. Is it going through html or is it using ftp? It appears that there are 3 possibilities – http, ftp, mail?
I am not sure which user to input, or whether or not I need to also create an ftp user on the server for the wordpress admin user?
