Hidden Columns not hidden on Mobile

Hi,

I’ve set up a new table and opted to hide a couple of columns on display. It works fine on Edge and Chrome on my laptop, but my Samsung mobile, the hidden columns are still displaying (on Chrome, on Edge and on whatever Samsung’s default browser is).

Oddly, this didn’t happen with the table this one replaced.

I’ve set the “Responsiveness” to use the horizontal scrolling if that helps…

I got my first basic FSE site together but can’t figure out how to 1/ align all elements so they’re aligned. 2/ Get rid of extra spaces like between header and big picture AND on right side of elements, aside from footer 3/ What type of element is my picture, anyway? 4/ I can’t get the picture to fill up the entire width of the site. Are there really 2 columns but I think there is only 1? 5/ What is controlling the width of the page content – are there columns defining that space as well? 6/ How do I add space between paragraphs in my page content? 7/ Is my footer actually a header – at one point it seemed like it was, not sure now.

ColumnFilterWidgets – Show property in drop-down list

Hey,

love the plugin. It is quite essential for my page.

I use hidden columns to filter the table. The problem is, if I set some filters for certain properties, it is possible that there is only one option left for an unset property and the drop-down list will become inactive showing the property name (column header of the “filter column”). In this case the user will not know which property is the only one left from his first choices. Example:

Is it possible for the inactive drop-down list to display the last option instead of the property name?

Ability to Search Hidden Columns

I have a table with a directory list, including 2 columns that have counties and cities served by each agency. I do not want these columns to show in the table on the page, but I would like when someone searches by a specific county or city for it to pull up those agencies that have that county or city listed in those columns.

Is there a way to hide columns, but still have them be searchable?

Sort rows by date with a hidden column

Hello,
I have one column where I need to sort the rows by date, but the date is listed as Sep 2017, May 2016, Sep 2016, etc. No day number is listed. I cannot sort correctly by this. It sorts by the month, instead of month/year.

So I created another column that corresponds to those dates as September 1, 2017, May 1, 2016 etc.

Is there a way to sort the abbreviated date column based with the data on the full date column, but hide the full date column?

Some Columns Not Visible

Hello,

I’ve embedded my sheet, but only eight of my 16 columns are visible. I want them to be scrollable with a horizontal scroll bar. The bar is appearing, but those columns aren’t showing up.

I’m assuming it has something to do with DataTables customization attributes, but I’m no programmer, so I need some quick guidance.

Bold Headers In Hidden Columns

I want to make the headers in hidden colums bold.

I’ve tried using the following code from a previous thread:

.tablepress thead th {
font-weight: bold;
}

#content .tablepress thead th {
  font-weight: bold;
}

Neither of these work.

Sort with columnfilterwidget in invisble columns

Hi,
is it possible to show dropdownboxes of columnfilterwidget if the column is hidden? This would be very useful, because i need only the result. Maybe there is any short code with ‘include’?

Example: In dropdownboxes for a bike I select red, size and type – result in the table are only that column with types matching. Or do I a mistake?

Hello all,

I can’t seem to figure out whats wrong with my TablePress table: “www.greattreadmillsforsale.com”

The table has 21 rows and 16 columns. Is this too big? Also the pictures appear way too small. The picture sizes look good when I preview the tables in the TablePress admin. Any help or instructions to get this fixed would be greatly appreciate!

Enter Mulitple Custom Commands

I’d like to have a column ignored for search and another invisible to the user, but still searchable (keywords). The following code is not working. Any suggestions for this noob user on how to make both commands work?
