How do you hide the table until search criteria is utilized? Like I would want to show only the search box until someone has entered in information.

Hide table AFTER search

Thanks for this awesome plugin. I am testing it right now and I would like to know, if there is a way to hide the table AFTER a search.

What I have so far done is:

1) On loading the page only the search field is displayed.
2) The search result only shows up after pressing “enter”.
3) Only the first row is searched.

However, when I use the backspace or delete button AFTER the initial search, the rest of the table shows up, according to whats in the search field.

Is there a way to hide the table?

Perhaps something like: “If you press backspace or delete button or ctrl + x in the search field, then hide table”

Search data but hide tale

I’d like to be able to search any data on the table but not necessarily show the table on a page. I just need the search results.
This is what I have:
[wctsearch][wctable id=”3″]

If I remove [wctable id=”3″], then I get no results!

This may be something simple and I deeply appreciate your help!

Hi Tobias,
I have a client that wants it so the table is not displayed until something is entered into the search input. I tried to set up the extension for showing only rows that match a filter, but like one of the users in the comments of that page, when i add the filter=”word1″ to the shortcode, the entire table as well as search box and pagination disappears (I also tried your suggestions to that user and to no avail). All I am looking to do is hide the table on page load, until anything is entered into the search, and I thought that extension would accomplish what I want, but I cannot get it to work properly. Is there some kind of simple quick fix for this?
