High admin-ajax hits to the site !!!

Hello,

We are using the PVC plugin to find out the page views on our website. The plugin works well, and it is a great plugin for this scenario. We recently checked our website and server to check the performance. From the reports, we found that the number of admin-ajax requests that are hitting our website is very high. Also, most of the hits are from this PVC plugin, and the the action is given below

[action] => pvc-check-post

How can we reduce the hit count? Is there any option to do so?

Hello, I was recently asked by a friend to help him with his website, and he wants access to a hit counter. However, the Wordfence log only seems to go a week back for human activity. Is there any way to access history from further back? I have already made sure to expand all results, and when I try to set the range date for another time in search, it doesn’t show more than this current week’s activity.

Hi. I’ve been hit by bots eating all our bandwidth for the 3 or 4th time and each time it takes the site down.

The bots are hitting the ajaxCalendar link in the calendar page and generating 1000’s of requests for a small site on cheap hosting. We have seen 18K hits in a day for a site that has 30 pages and normally sees a few hundred hits a month!

Looking in the AWSStats accesslogs I see many many entries like that below. this batch had 6K hits in 4 hours until I blocked the bot in htaccess.

Is there a way to stop the bots following the ajaxCalendar link from in EM or can you add a nofollow to the link. Anything that will stop these bots killing our site.

Hi, I’ve been using the premium version of WP Statistics for awhile now. My question is; does the software omit hits that can come from BOTs or Crawlers? Are the visitors a true representation of people who visited my blog?

hello,

since last updates the traffic counter does not collect exactly each hit of the page. we have almost 12.000 visitors daily but wp stats does not collect them. we have google analytics ga4 propery ID and at this tool the hits are collected but not in the wp stats.

second the scale factor of increasing hits is disabled why?

category name with hyphen

I’m having trouble getting the category name in hits. It’s because the category is hyphenated “taxonomies_hierarchical.course-category”. I think it’s being used with a math operator “-“. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I just installed the Slimstat Analytivs Plugin.
On the Real-time page show up many hits on the wp-admin page of my website.
I don’t know what that means. Why are there that many visits on my wp-admin page?

Unfortunately I needed to disable the plugin as of the last upgrade the plugin shows the number of hits on each page without a user login required.
