Images missing after migrating to new host

I’m not familiar with this plugin but a client’s site is using it. After migrating from Cloudways to WP Engine, all of the images with -optimized appear to be missing. What steps are needed to migrate a site using this plugin and get the images working properly?

Hey, I just transfered my website to my new hosting and when making an order, an error appears with the message “Unable to create order.”

Unable to create order.

I migrated my website from and old hosting to a new hosting account.
Everything is alright except 1 problem. When you try to place and order, you get an error “Unable to create order.”..
It seems the order details are storing in database but they are not visible in the order section. There are “Pending payment (15)” orders. When I click to see the order a blank page appears without order details.

What should I do now?

All saved changes disappeared overnight.

Recently migrated a site from Bluehost to Hostgator.
DNS was in place pointing to new server.
Replaced Woothemes Canvas with Divi / Builder
Created new pages, Added media, Changed theme colors etc.
Saved along the way (didn’t do a back up, duh)
Went to site today and everything was gone including media that was uploaded, pages that where created & published. Plugins that were deleted are back, plugins are deactivated.

Sidenote this site can’t connect to Jetpack due to verification secrets not being able to validate. Also traffic and ranking went through the floor to almost zero after migration (still trying to figure out if that is normal).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Broken image links after moving host (non standard letters issue)

Hello,
I badly need some help. I moved a blog to a new host, but all the images with the Swedish letters “?, ? and ?” in their filenames(I know they shouldn’t have been used) are now broken. I really need a way to restore these images. It has to be a bulk fix since we’re talking about 1000+ pictures. I would be super grateful for any help.

Should add that I moved my site another time since that(only host, no domain changes).

Moved to new host, dashboard jumped back and lost posts

I recently migrated to a new host and when I checked this morning, my dashboard looked as if it had gone back in time. One post that had previously been published is now showing as a draft, another that was published is gone, and two that I had drafted are also gone. Is this something the host needs to recover or is there a way for me to access cached versions? The missing posts in question are not in draft form or in trash at all, so I can only assume I’m going off of a cached version from earlier in the day. Thanks!

Dashboard and Front Page shows weird Chinese and Rectangles

I have migrated my wordpress site from DreamHost to BLueHost manually, transferring over all the db’s and everything. After I made a successful migration, I see these weird chinese characters show up in the place of icons. Social Icons, navigation icons, dropdown menu icons, every icon is either in Chinese or a rectangle. I thought it was a theme issue; but my wordpress’s dashboard icons are also showing the same weird rectangles.
The below images show the weird icons. I have highlighted them in red boxes (I used paint, don’t judge).

Deploying to a new host

Hi All,

I am trying to set up my Word Press site on my domain, My web developer left me with 1 zip file that contains a MySQL database and a folder labeled “Web Site Files” with the WordPress contents the way he designed them. It is my duty now to deploy the web-site to my own server but am having issues. I Imported the MySQL Database using phpMYAdmin and upload the web-site files, but no images work at all, only text. Also If I view source all the images point to a “Websitetestlink.com” Url, Any help would be much apprieciated.

Permalinks not working after migrating servers

I am no expert at all on programming & coding, but circumstances dictate that I have to do all this myself. So bear with me.

I have a few wordpress blogs running on a server. Before, both the domain name and the server were hosted by godaddy. The domain name remains there, but the server has actually moved to a different host.

I migrated my files over, loaded the databases and updated the config file. My wordpress blogs load fine- but the permalinks just open a blank page and never load.

I don’t know if this complicates things, but my wordpress sites are using domain masking. In theory, since the domain name hasn’t changed at all, the masking/forwarding shouldn’t matter, right? But I don’t know for sure.

For example, my site:
www.whamerica.com
is being masked/forwarded to www.foolfactory.com/whamerica

that works fine, but if you click on the permalink:
https://foolfactory.com/whamerica/comics/87

nothing happens. FYI, that permalink is one I created just now, AFTER the migration, which means even on new posts, the permalink isn’t working. I’m sure there’s an obvious solution, but I know nothing about wordpress. Any step-by-step explanation would be most appreciated, as the hosting company doesn’t troubleshoot wordpress issues directly.

White Screen without www, unable to log in

Hey everyone,

Moved a website from rackspace to a mediatemple grid service box and am having multiple problems.

If I don’t type in www before the website it only loads a blank white page. Typing in www.website.com brings it up. However, when I click on a link it says the requested URL was not found on this server.

I’m also unable to log in. No error, it just goes to a blank white page.

What is odd was that the website was working on the website.com.sxxxxx.gridserver.com. It all broke when we pointed the domain to the new server.
