Additionally, I have contacted Stripe and WooCommerce support, and they have been very helpful. However, when I reached out to Hostgator for assistance, they immediately suggested that I pay for a $80 security upgrade to receive support, which I find suspicious.
I would appreciate any guidance or troubleshooting steps to understand why these issues are occurring and how I can verify the legitimacy of the payments received through my site.

]]>Hosting and domain query
Our domain has since been suspended by our domain registry after getting from them ?a payment page screenshot which we have no knowledge of or have ever done (showing Dubaipay / smart dubai -? totally different country and continent!
Our domain registrar contacted us stating Phishing had been reported on our domains and it needed to be removed immediately otherwise the domain would be suspended. Email was from a Legal and Abuse Department which we checked was not spam via their live chat portal.
They were told we have no access to our cpanel/ any of our websites or domain dashboards and then told we needed to contact our hosting provider (Hostgator)

1A. What does a suspended domain mean?
1B. Can a suspension be reversed?
SECOND PART - HOSTING is with Hostgator
We contacted Hostgator Live Chat and told the following after an hour long call:
‘thank you for letting me know. i’ll escalate the case to the admins to remove’
‘they will email you once the issue is resolved .? You should receive an update in 24 hours.?? - we didn’t
The domain (the main one with our hosting provider) has since ?been suspended by the domain registrar
THIRD PART MALWARE ?on all of our websites
As we have been paying for hosting and not one of our websites are live (either google warnings or error messages), which ?has been going on for 1.5 years (including 7 months of live chat calls) to get to the malware department where we were eventually given costs for removal!
QUESTION 2
2A ?How can Hostgator be charging us? hosting when the domains don’t show anywhere?
2B Would really appreciate what our options are going forward or any other suggestions.

‘Briefly Unavailable for Scheduled Maintenance. Check Back in a Minute’
I contacted Hostgator but they were unable to assist me.
I researched the problem and discovered that it may be something to do with maintenance mode.
Unfortunately, my efforts to locate the problem file (.maintenance file) using filezilla have floundered. I can’t connect to my website. Instead, I keep getting the message:
‘Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server.’
