I am stuck. When I attempt to log in to my WP Dashboard, I get a
“Http 404 Not Found” message. My blog (www.tericbrooks.com) is up and running, but something is very wrong.

Here are some facts:

1. It is a Yahoo Small Business hosted site.
2. I have a ftp.tericbrooks.com file (could this be the problem)
3. I was able to log in to the dashboard just fine until about 3 days ago.
4. Today I got as far as to enter my username and password. Then the gray 404 Not found screen appeared again.
5. Usually, I CANNOT access the dashboard from www.tericbrooks.com/wp-admin.php
Where I do begin to solve this problem? I’m devastated, I desperately need to update.

Hi,
I am almost new user of WordPress. Currently I am working with my first website in local environment. Whenever I visit my website everything is okay but when I click to any of my posts or pages or menu it shows uo HTTP 404 Not Found

I am running Wampserver version 2.5 in window 8.1 32 bit operating system and
Apache Version :2.4.9 PHP Version :5.5.12. MySQL Version :5.6.17. Please tell me how I would get rid of this problem.

Problem with loading the wordpress

Hello!
I failed to load the wordpress after installation through Web Platform Installer. At the end of installation I’ve got window where I have congratulations for success installing and it was there “Launch Word Press”. If I click on it I get error in my explorer window “HTTP 404 NOT FOUND”. This link https://localhost/wordpress/index.php doesn’t work. How can I repair it?

Using IIS on my own web server.
When I’m installing WP in “The designed directory” it works fine, but when I’m trying to use “A directory located on this computer” I got this 404 error. If a make a index.html file in that directory it works fine.

HI Guys,
Sorry to bother with basic stuff.
I uploaded wordpress vie ftp to my web hosting space and now I would like to progress with following instruction
“Simply launch your browser and go to the address of the folder you put the files into, followed by /wordpress/wp-admin/install.php”
I double checked the page address an it is correct I tried to copy WP to other folders but It once I try to launch file install.phpit gives me message “
HTTP 404 – Not found

Requested file you are looking for was not found. It might have been removed or is temporary unavailable.
“

HTTP404 NOT FOUND error

I recently created a testing site on my local computer for my live website. I was able to create a virtual host and download my database and site files. I did a find/change in my database files to change the url. When I went to log into my test site I was able to access the homepage. I then went to the admin login and was able to log into the admin screen. I checked my general tab to make sure that the urls matched my local url. When I went back to the homepage I tried to go from homepage to another page of the website. I got the infamous HTTP404 NOT FOUND error. Do you have any ideas as to where I might find the culprit? Thanks!!!
