How do I set Duplicate Post so that the iframe code in the box is not cloned when I want to clone a post?
Recently found that with a pdf viewer plugin, the front-end pdfs were not being displayed in their iframes after toggling some WP Security features.
After finding this post, I found that turning off “Deny bad query strings” made the iframes work again.
Hope this helps others.
I am having an issue with an Iframe I am using in a WordPress plugin I am working on. The Iframe resides on my web server and is a login page. When I use Firefox I can log into the site remotely using the Iframed page, but with Chrome nothing happens except that it tells me if the user exists or if the password is incorrect, so the Iframe is communicating with the remote page but won’t prcocess the login.
The following error is provided when I load the Iframe in Google developer mode and open the Console tab:
Failed to execute ‘postMessage’ on ‘DOMWindow’: The target origin provided (‘https://xxxxxxxxx.com’) does not match the recipient window’s origin (‘https://yyyyyyyyy.com’)
I am sure this has to do with Google change in handling 3rd party scripts and cross-domain cookies.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Don’t copy/clone https links and iframes
How is it set up?
Thanks.
<iframe width=”647 height=”358″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/kWRF9-ER1ek?si=TXNJFnPVJkkT7k-R&controls=0″ title=”YouTube video player” frameborder=”0″ allow=”accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share” allowfullscreen>
I get three errors.
“Special characters must be escaped : [ < ]”
“Special characters must be escaped : [ > ]”
“Special characters must be paired, no start tag: [ ]”
I’ve tried multiple ways to accommodate this, but it doesn’t work. It appears to only work if I use [ ] all of the parameters [ ] and that won’t work for embedding a YouTube video.
Any sage advice out there? Thanks!
Ok, but what is a context?
Please direct me to the correct WordPress forum if this in not it. Thanks for any help.

. If this occurred as a result of an intentional action, you may consider allowlisting the request to allow it in the future.
I clicked “Add action to allowlist” and from now on every iframe I try to enter disappears.
