Thank You
]]>IIS seems to be running WP just find on https://localhost/mywebsite. (This tell me that there is no issue with IIS actually running wordpress). When reconfigure WP and the MySQL database to point to the new website www.mywebsite.com, when I try to go to the website, I get the error “you are not authorized to view this web page”.
Therefore, I can’t log in or do anything to the website. I backed everything up so that I can go back to the https://localhost/mywebsite state with no issues.
I need help because EVERY OTHER time this issue is detailed it is about migrating to an off-site server who deals with wordpress every day. I need help with an IIS server that is in-house. This is my first install.
(Note, I realize that this may be a permissions error, but my original non-Wordpress website does not have any permissions problems and they are configured the same.)
]]>Is it possible to install WordPress on Windows Server 2003 (IIS 6.0) using a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 backend database?
Thanks,
Chris
I’ve looked all over but cannot find out how to resolve this.
Thanks in advance all
Now the problem, I browse to https://www.mysite.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php and enter the name of my blog, my email address and click the Install WordPress button and I get the following error:
The page cannot be displayed
You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.
——————————————————————————–
Please try the following:
Contact the Web site administrator if you believe this directory should allow execute access.
HTTP Error 403.1 – Forbidden: Execute access is denied.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
So I have used IIS to grant execute access on the wordpress, wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes folders and still get the same error. Being stubborn I have not yet given up so I set the ntfs privileges to allow shared web access with execute privleges for the previously mentioned folders.
Still get the sasme freakin error! What am I doing wrong? I am sure many others have successfully installed and configured WordPress on Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
