Add title below thumbnail in Mosiac gallery

I would love to be able to show the image title & description below the thumbnail. I am using the the Mosiac gallery view. So far the best I could do was for it to show over the image. Any suggestions?

Trying to find out for a client if this gallery plug will allow image descriptions (with HTML code in them) to display when thumbnail is clicked. Cannot readily find this feature, if it exists, and since it is a non-negotiable request from client, need to find out before I can install this plugin.

Display description in slideshow

Hello,

Is there no way to have the image description display in the album slideshow? We’re embedding slideshows on our site and would like the descriptions to show as viewers browse the images, without them having to click on the caption to see the description on the individual image pages.

Please make SLB work with Polylang

Hi there,
I am opening a new discussion because this former discussion on the topic has been closed to comments.
I am using SLB and Polylang to create a bilingual site and I do need the image descriptions to be available in both languages.
I appreciate that the problem may lie with the way PLL handles queries, as stated in the above-mentioned discussion. However, the image descriptions are correctly displayed in both languages in the Wonder plugin slider. So I hope this very useful feature could be added to the SBL plugin any time soon.

Hello – I was curious if there was a way to have thumbnail gallery with the descriptions only displaying when the image is clicked upon in the light box and not below the image in its respective gallery. I appreciate your time.

Image Description Not Shown Again

Hi Mark!

I’ve had the same problem a year ago and you helped but the issue is back. Image descriptions (not Alt/Title) disappeared from under the pics in the galleries in samaralife.com (not every picture in every gallery has a description though).

I checked the files. Fancybox comment is deleted from the footer file in the Origin theme files, and the position of caption is changed to outside with opacity at 1, yet there are no descriptions anywhere but in the Manage your galleries pages in Dashboard.

I’ve updated the theme a few days ago and it might have some new files affecting the issue, but I could only change those you told me to last year. I am still on NGGallery 1.9 too.

Edit Slider Image Descriptions

How can I change the font style of the slider image descriptions so there are two different styles in the same description??
I was able to do it on the index page of my site (https://direct2youfitness.com/) by creating a new index.php and adding it into my child theme, but I am having trouble achieving the same affect on a different page (https://direct2youfitness.com/your-nutrition).

In previous version of this software I was able to formate the descriptions and add links using basic HTML. Now when I try to insert HTML in the description field for a gallery image it will not save this content. Please add this feature back to your software,

Want image captions to be from img ALT tags not title tags

Okay,here’s my challenge. My client doesn’t like how when you roll over an image in the gallery a tooltip shows up with the image’s descritpion, which is taken from it’s title tag. But he still wants the image description to show up as the caption when you click on the image and enlarge it.

I’ve tried to find ways on hiding browser default tooltips but I’ve had no luck. So I thought of placing the image’s description in the images alt tag instead of the title tag. Which is fine, I took care of that in the gallery.php file.

But now I can’t figure out where in the shutter-reloaded.js, for the image caption to pull the alt tag instead of the title tag. I’m hoping its a simple solution that I’m just overlooking since I am only vaguely familiar with javascript.

Or maybe I’m way off and it’s not in that js file. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

[Plugin: FancyBox for WordPress] Display both title AND description on full size image.

I am using NextGen Gallery for the gallery at hariwalner.com and I’d like to use the Fancybox for WordPress plugin in conjunction.

My problem is that I need whatever image display I use (hopefully Fancybox) to display both the Title AND the description (with the possibility of including an active URL in the description to open a gallery of related images – detail shots).

Can this be done? What does it take?
