Is there any way to reverse the display order of the images? (ie, instead of increasing order of Slide ID, use decreasing order of Slide ID…)

Image Order Incorrect

Our images are in order in the gallery and, per your recommendation here, I added {“template”:{“horizontalOrder”: true}} to custom settings. But the images still aren’t displaying in order on the front end? Is there a new way to fix this issue?

Hi, Uploaded 11 images into a gallery and then sorted using numerate so they appear in the correct order. Check using preview and they are not in the order I have just updated.

Image titles are HOYS23 -1 to HOYS23 -11 yet the plugin is determined that HOYS23-10 comes after HOYS23 -1, then HOYS23-11 before HOYS23-2.

This problem occurred a year or tow ago and one of your technicians sorted it. Now , on this website with a new version of Photo Gallery it seems the problem was never fixed but a sticking plaster applied.

Big show tomorrow and this happens. Great.

Image order in gallery in WordPress 5.9 – reorder images

Hi,

Since recent update to WordPress 5.9, I can’t change image order under Edit Gallery. I have no plugins, only Twenty-Twenty-Two Theme and I tried it on PHP 7.4 and 8.0, no luck. I’ve also tried with different browsers.

If anyone has same problem, please add your comments.

Hello,

Newly added flip boxes are placed at the bottom of a gallery.
Is it possible to re-arrange the order in which images appear in a gallery?
For example new adds on the top?

How can user set the order of the photos in their gallery?

Hi,
Our members are having trouble trying to arrange the photos in their galleries. They have reported to me that it appears the order of the photos is arbitrary and changes from time to time. I read a lot of code in the plugin and I think the code sets the order always by the ID of the photo, and I assume the ID is based on the order in which the photos were uploaded. Is there a way they can make their photos appear in a certain order?
Also, in the back end (Admin > UserGallery > Albums) it shows multiple albums are created for some users, and sometimes their gallery displays photos from more than one of those albums. I have also seen cases where an album contains photos from two different users. Is this expected behavior?
When a user has more photos uploaded than their gallery can show (our current limit is 9), how does the plugin determine which photos will be shown in their gallery?

Image sorting error in 3-column masonry image gallery when thumbwidth >299

I would like to display my photo portfolio in three columns. It’s taken me ages to find a plugin that would achieve this aesthetically, and I’m thrilled that Foo Gallery does this.

HOWEVER, despite having ordering set to alphabetical in the main settings, the 3-column masonry image gallery refuses to order my images correctly when the thumbnail width used is >299px. Why not just use a thumbnail of 299? Unfortunately it generates a thumbnail of too poor quality for a commercial photography website. If I select 350, the thumbnail quality is improved, but the specific order of images is lost.

They run:

01, 02, 03,
05, 06, 04,
09, 08, 07,
12, 11, 10,

and so on.

I’ve tried many permutations, and other gallery formats (responsive image, justified gallery), but these are wildly sensitive to different screen sizes, which spoils the effect.

I’ve mocked up a new 3 column portfolio where the image order would be essential, but I’m not able to realise this on my portfolio page unless I can get round this error.

Poor image ordering by title

Hi, I have a sequentially numbered series of images I have uploaded to my WordPress to use in FooGallery. Both filenames and image title (labelled in WP Media) begin with an integer, and run 1 through 48. However, FooGallery (specifically the the Masonry Image Gallery set at 3 column) orders integers as follow: 1, 10, 11, 12 […], 2, 20, 21, 22 […], 3, 30, 31 and so on. So I changed to 001, 002, 003. But now it orders them: 001, 002, 003 / 005, 004, 003 / 009, 008, 007 / (with ‘/’ denoting a new row). So each row runs in reverse alphabetical/alphanumeric aside from the first row. If I order the gallery by reverse alphabetical, it essentially does the same thing, but starting at 048, but the order is lost by the second row.

Surely not rocket science. I’d love to go to Pro on this, but so far it is failing a basic test. How can I alphabetise? Or are we limited to A-Z and thus only 26 images in a gallery?

Improper image order in album

Hello!

The images in my gallery are not displaying in the selected order. This is an issue as I would like to have certain images from each gallery set as the “covers” within the album. The first image in the gallery is not displaying as the cover.

I have not seen any information in the documentation on the gallery or album setting to fix this. Would be grateful for help!
