Gallery thumbnails are put one per line

This is a good idea. I tried it on my replica staging site and experienced two problems.

The thumbnails of NextGEN Gallery are stacked one per line rather than side by side. It looks awkward and creates too many pages
Some of the images at the beginning, possibly the featured image or a lead image in the article are stretched. It may be because they are set as wide width to extend outside the content area.

I wonder if these can be addressed in an upcoming update. One related option that will be welcome is the inclusion of the linked large images from the thumbnails. I realize this may create too many pages, but it may be worth it.

Smush stretching images and removing gallery spacing

Hi there,

I just started using the free version of Smush but after running the bulk smush on my entire site, it seems that some galleries on desktop get a strange resizing/ stretching (see https://nilsdecker.com/beauty/ or https://nilsdecker.com/skaters/).The problem does not occur on mobile.

My hunch is that it’s related to my themes “masonry grid layout” that I’m using on some of the galleries. When looking at it being logged in as admin, I get a little “i” in the top right corner with lots of errors saying “This image is too small for its container. Adjust the image dimensions to 537 x 537px for optimal results.
” or similar for different images.

A second issue is that when loading the homepage https://nilsdecker.com the spacing between the images is no there consistently. Usually the first row or so of images has spacing underneath, but second and third rows are smushed together (pun intended).

Sometimes masonry images load stretched

See the masonry gallery most of the way down the home page and on the photos page.

When the gallery loads, the photos sometimes load very stretched and not perfect, as they do other times. I’m working on a staging server on WP Engine. I don’t have caching or CDN on staging.

Pictures are being Distorted

Using WordPress 4.0.1 with tracks v1.31

I spent a decent amount of time trying to fix the images in my site – am i missing something? The thumbnails are super stretched out and the post image is also blown up.

I only have one post on there currently, it is using an image that is 128X128. Should i do something to make the picture a more usable size before loading it in?

In my website (shop page), the image size should be square (300 by 300 pixels) but it is stretched to rectangle. How I can solve this ?

I am using the Jetpack tiled gallery and I love it! EXCEPT, the photos all individually link to a new page where the photos are stretched. I would prefer the photos do not link at all. The “link to none” is not working. I have searched the forums and cannot find a solution that works.

Stretched image in post preview

Can't display 2 images in 1 slider

Hello,

Love this slider, it’s great and really want to get this working on my site but this is what is happening…

It’s *happy* when I had 1 slide in a slider, it breaks when I have 2 slides running at the same time. This happens in the Twenty Ten theme as well as the theme I edited for this website:

I checked the html in DOM mode and compare the html with a working Captai slider on another site (I got the “Not Working html…” running on my site):

I disabled all my other plugins but it looks the same…

I try disabling most of the non-related .js on my site but nothing changed…

I can’t upgrade my wordpress version because of college server issue…

I hope you can spot something different and could help me fix this issue?
