I heard that “With TranslatePress you can show different images for each language of your website”.
I uploaded and saved the Korean image according to the manual.
On the save screen, Korean images are displayed well.
However, the English image is still visible on the online Korean site.
Even after clearing the internet cache and checking, it is still the same.

Translated images not displaying

Hi,

I have uploaded all my french images to the website yet the imaging is not showing up in the jpgs. I have tried disabling lazy load, changing the TranslatePress settings one by one and disabling all plug-ins to fix it. None of them have worked. What is the best way to fix this problem?

Translated Images not showing up

Hi I’m running into an issue when trying to translate images and PDF’s. I’ve added the content like shown here but nothing has allowed me to show the translated pictures and download the french document. I’ve tried following the fixes on this article and this one, but nothing has worked so far. Any tips to fix this would be appreciated.

TranslatePress image translation not working anymore

Hi, I set up the German version of the website about 3 months ago. I also had German versions of the images. Now when I wanted to exchange a picture, this option wasn’t available anymore. In the translate site view, I can edit all the pieces of text but the image doesn’t show the edit button for translation. Any ideas?

Image Translation Replacing All Images

I have a small blog site using OceanWP theme. I tried the image translation functionality for a post and found that when I translate the image in the body of the post, it will replace all images on the page, including the ‘Featured Image’ in the blog header. Then when navigating to the main site, all blogpost images have been replaced by the image I tried to translate.

Any ideas? (I was able delete the image translation, then used ‘Fix missing dynamic content’ to restore everything back to the way it was and then tried again – no dice). I’m experiencing the same problem described by another user:

I can’t find any information or documentation on how to translate media such as images with this plugin. Does this feature truly exist?

Image title and alternative text translation not working

Hello,

I’m using the Hyyan WooCommerce Polylang Integration for my bilingual website.

I’m having issues translating some images (title and alternative text).

Translating images in regular pages works like a charm. I translate the image in the media library prior to attaching it to my page, then translate the page and change the linked image with the translated version of the image and everything works great.

BUT if I do the same with a product page with woocommerce, I can’t change the translated version of the image. If I do so, the image in the original product page is then switched to the translated version too. Basically I can get only one version of my image.

Does anyone know how to deal with that issue by an chance ?

Alternate image for translation

I see in the documentation: “In some cases, you will need 2 different media for 2 different languages (for example when an image includes some text). In that case, you will use 2 different media with no need for translation. Polylang does not provide a way to create a relationship between 2 different media.”

However, it would be awesome if Polylang provided that functionality, of linking images so that you could have a unique image for each translation. In fact, I first assumed that is how it would work, and was disappointed to find it didn’t.

I’m wondering if anyone has found a good workaround for this issue. I know that in the templates I can make a conditional IF…ELSE to display one image or another, but that seems like a tedious way to do it.

Image translation problem after update

I used to use the [tp mylang="y" lang="en"] code to translate images. After the update it no longer works. Is this just happening for me, or a general problem?
