Flash of Content When Loading Page

Hi All,

I am a wordpress noobie using version 3.8 and the Imbalance theme. I am trying to figure out why I get a flash of content everytime I reload a page. Visually the flash seems to resemble the ‘categories’ tab drop down menu. The link to the site: https://bergenandsmith.com/

but it was unclear to me whether any of those steps/ideas were applicable to my situation.

I’ve checked on different browsers and the flash seems to happen the same everywhere. Disabling plug-ins help, the worst offenders seem to be Google Analytics and Simple Social Buttons – both of which are currently activated, that way I can show you all the problem. Once deactivated the issue disappears entirely. I can live without these two plug-ins for now, but it would be nice to know if there’s a fix, a workaround, a different Social Buttons plug-in I could try, etc.

Any ideas? Need more info? Thanks.

After latest update I can’t see posts on my homepage (when hover the image). Only I can see […]. I did try look at the page but all looks OK.

Internet Explorer Bug

I am almost finished with a custom wordpress child theme, but an internet explorer bug is slowing me down. Everything works across all other browsers, and I fixed all the original IE bugs except this one. The problem occurs when I roll over the right side of the screen on either the largest thumbnail or the one in the bottom right. Half of the large thumbnail disappears and the bottom thumbnail flickers, instead of acting like the other thumbnails (which fade into a preview of the metadata).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Internet Explorer Bug

My homepage is coded in html rather than php so that I can have more options with thumbnail sizes, and this is the only error I can see. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Imbalance Theme – Menu and submenu problems

i wanted the following structure
Home Portfolio Clients About Contact
Branding + Identity The list The Story
Print design Testimonials We compose
Tshirt Prints
Web Design
UI UX design
Flash Animation/Presentation
Illustrations
Case Studies

As you can see:

1. I try adding a new page as About and The Story + We compose as submenu.. it never shows up like the portfolio submenus
2. Same with Clients
3. The submenus of Portfolio and Search bar briefly comes in for a few seconds on every page??
4. All my posts stack (on homepage and portfolio submenu pages) on top of each other brief and rearrange.
5, i am not able to add descriptions to my posts when i rollover over them.

I am a designer and not a developer – i can only use css php when someone tells me ‘U can put this – here etc etc..

Anyone who is good at this, please let me know a solution.

I love this theme and would love to keep it.

Is there a way to specify how many images you would like to appear on each page. Ideally i would like 12 images per page, but cant see any way of enforcing this? Any help will be much appreicated.
