tags and dates not populating

Greets,

I’m importing a large catalog of photos from WordPress’ media manager into gmedia. When imported, a scattering of images are tagged (like 20ish out of 1k) and none of the images have the correct taken date. They just show the date imported into wordpress originally as their implied taken date.

How can this be fixed? Really need good tags and dates on these for organization and cannot take the time to fix this on each gmedia imported file. Ty!

Not importing photos

I exported 10 posts from my old site. The posts have photos. When I import them in the new site using Tools -> Import -> WordPress it accepts the XML file, but when I check the box that says “download media files and import” it doesn’t actually do that. All the posts show broken image links. How do you use the download images feature?

Hi there,

Sorry for the double post but I was wondering if anyone can help me regarding importing data into some fields within my product pages.

I recently used the plugin google for woocommerce (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/missing-data-a-lot-of-fix-suggesstions/) but it didn’t populate data for the barcodes or the brand name, because there was no data for brand name and I just don’t know why they didn’t use the SKU for the barcode.

Anyway. Is there any way for me to import the data into these new areas easily without doing it manually 3k+ times?

Hi, I am trying to import 67 lines and I just checked they are all very simple. Here a sample line:

I am getting this confirmation message, but I waited now 10minutes – nothing gets imported. Am I missing something?

File upload complete: 67 lines received.
The data is importing in the background, refresh the page to get the current status of the import.

If I refresh the page, the message only disappears and nothing happens.

Any idea what this could be?

Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to upload certain new products and not have them appear on in the main catalog (which is the shop’s home page). I would like for them to only been seen if a customer browses to their specific category.

For example: I sell electronic music, and that is what people look for when they come to my shop. On some occasions I have a few things from other genres to sell (let’s say rock music in this case). I don’t want to have the rock music mixed in with the electronic music in the main catalog, since that is not what most people are there for. But, I will have a Rock Music category that can be clicked on and the products matching that genre will then be displayed.

Is it possible? And if so, what should I be inputting to note this visibility when I upload my products via CSV?

Importing creates new listings instead of updating existing listings

Hi, when I import a file to add new listings and update existing listings, the existing listings are not updated, but instead new listings are created with the same name. The csv file has exactly the right column headers. What am I doing wrong?

Hello folks! I’m currently having issues with the default product import in WooCommerce 8.5.2. I’m trying to use a CSV file to import products that are exclusively external / affiliate products. Accordingly, each product has an external URL (product_url), which is also specified in the corresponding column in the CSV. The URL is also recognized in the field mapping during import, but it cannot be found in the field provided on the product page after the import. I have already changed the default product type to “external / affiliate” in functions.php.

What I have tried so far:

WC rollback to version 7.0.0
WP debug mode
encoding the URLs in the CSV file
Changing the website language from German to English

WP has the current version. Thanks in advance for your help!

Import csv file does not work

Hi there,

I formatted my csv file and it still does not import. I get this message:

Database Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘WHERE id = 4’ at line 1

I tried with a single line of data with these columns:
