Hi Team,

Since the recent updates, the Add Link option has not worked correctly. I have tried troubleshooting, which included deactivating plugins, to no avail.

When I add a link after highlighting the text and clicking the “Open in a new page” option it corrupts the HTML by adding two URL’s instead of one. Also, it automatically makes it a “do not follow” link without me choosing that option.

I have tried all options to fix it without success.

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated!

BUGG ON FORMINATOR ADDITIONAL SETTING

Hi there,

I juts installed and setup Forminator plugin (free plan). Then I noticed there is a bugg on Forminator > Edit Form > User Registration > Additional Settings > Enable Hide the form if a user is already logged in > Message (optional)

So bugg is:

When I insert link, bold and italic the message then click update, the message is not change on my website. The message just plain. No inserted link, bold and italic

The problem happend on login dan register form.

i m using wpuf post form for frontend post and the problem is that in this form these link option is available to insert link but i don’t want to let my user add link in post.i also tried my code and all code is working only in classic editor but i want to completely remove this link option and also ctrl+K (shortcode) function of inserting link function from this post Form.

Does the Linker part work with Gutenberg?

1) Creation of the anchor-targets
I read that the part of the plugin code which creates the links automatically from the H2 and H3 elements in the event of saving a page is not compatible with Gutenberg.
a) @xnau stated no timeline/plans for an update.
b) @telsenome you publicly stated interest to maybe take over. Any plans?
c) Gutenberg has the capability to specify an ID for a headline or basically any block element. That’s good enough for me!

2) Creation of the anchor-links with “The Linker”
As I understood the description text when using the “Insert Link” function of the Editor you get a search dialog which matches both in the page slugs and/or also in anchor names. And when selecting an anchor it creates a jumplink a la /page-slug#anchor-name for you.
a) Is that what it does? That would be hugely convenient for me, as I plan a lot of micro-content to which I would love convenient and quick linking.
b) Is that part working with the Gutenberg “Insert Link” widget? It is a combobox where you have search, auto-completion, and can navigate through results by scrolling or up/down keys.

Considerations
I) I could live with needing to take care of anchor-creation myself when I’d have the hugely convenient “linker” part available.
II) But I could not live with Gutenberg crashing during save or saving corrupt markup. What is the state of this? Info appreciated!

Plugin Disables Link Feature in Editor

when your sticky-buttons-plugin is enabled in wordpress 5.6 or higher – the insert/edit link feature is no longer working in classic editor, nor in gutenberg or wp bakery. it still works in classic mode using the text – link feature – but in visual mode the link button has no function. disabling the plugin solves the issue

insert/edit link not working

my classic / gutenberg / wpbakery has the issue that the edit/insert link button has no function anymore.
Disableing all plugins and changing the theme did not solve the issue.
devcode came up with this when clicking the button:

Insert Link Not Working After 5.0.2 update

Hello,

After updating to 5.0.2, the insert link dialogue works as always, only now it doesn’t actually complete the task of inserting the link. Nothing happens. Sometimes the initial, pre-advanced options, single-field dialogue also doesn’t go away after I’ve attempted to finish the insert process. Seems buggy. However, I’m not seeing any errors in Chrome inspector console.

This began after I updated to 5.0.2 today via SVN. I can only now add a link via HTML.

Video does not populate when inserted from URL

I am trying to build a video gallery with Vimeo videos. When I try to ‘Add Video’ by inserting from URL, it has taken several tries to get the video to get added to the gallery. The first three eventually populated, but on the fourth I can’t add it no matter how many times I try. I have about 20 videos to add in this gallery. I am using the Content Popup 2 template.

Also, adding a link within the description to download a pdf file is not working. The links are correct, but I get back the following error-

Insert Link stopped showing url list

Since the last update when I am in a post and use “Insert Link”, before if I put in a word it would fill up the URL with posts that had that word in it to pick from. Now it doesn’t. I have to go find the post then copy the actual url to paste in. Is that a glitch or something?
