Intermittent Calendar Display

Hello,
I have been using the ICS Calendar plugin for over a year now. I’ve tried everything short of purchasing the pro version and hoping that fixes it. To be honest, I’m almost ready to give up on it. No matter what settings I try it constantly drops off, at least a couple of time a day for long periods of time. I can make it come back on after several server reboots. And “sometimes” but not always, saving a setting or a page can bring it back. My WordPress is installed on my Virtualmin server. Using cron, I pull the calendar from my Nextcloud server. The calendar.ics file is then stored and accessed on the Virtualmin server locally. The calendar data is definitely being stored there. I’ve tried with and without the Ajax settings. I’ve tried disabling the opcache in Virtualmin. I’ve also installed the WordPress W3 Total Cache and tinkered with setting there. I have tried multiple variations of the “ajax and reload” shortcodes below. I’ve had absolutely no luck making this Stabe. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Intermittent “could not instantiate mail function” error when sending email

Emails sent from my site by WordPress intermittently fail. The error message shown by WP Mail Logging plugin is “Could not instantiate mail function”. The emails fail both from our Contact Us page, and from comments added to WordPress Posts. It is intermittent, so it sometimes works.

I (may) have narrowed the focus to the /usr/sbin/sendmail bash script, which is 38 lines long! (Not 100% sure that is what my system uses though.)

Is there a level of logging or error reporting that I can enable to understand better why this is happening? (Already tried enabling “display errors” and “error_reporting” in cPanel “PHP Selector”, but that seemed to have no effect.)

Password Page Intermittent

This may seem unusual, it only started up recently after the latest wordpress update. I have a wordpress password protected page and its intermittent in that sometimes the password login works and I can access the page, but then a little later the password login doesn’t work and when you click enter, the page just resets with an empty password field and then for a while you simply can’t login and then mysteriously 20 minutes later the login works fine. Does anyone know if this is a wordpress issue with the latest update or could there be some other issue causing this.

I have a weird thing happening that just began this week. At least, my client is reporting it; I have not been able to replicate it. Also, it doesn’t happen all the time. Some customers are trying to check out and get the error “Please enter your address to continue” but the address is entered. Other orders go through just fine. I can’t find a commonality among those who are reporting the error other than they all have customer accounts, but the orders that go through also have accounts.

Shipping is limited to a specific list of ZIP codes. The checkout form does not include state or country. I have seen reports of not having the country causing this issue, but it seems it should be all the time, not intermittently.

Since I can’t replicate it, the usual testing method of turning off all the other plugins has yielded nothing. The theme is a child of Storefront along with Beaver Builder Pro and Beaver Themer. Let me know what other info you need.

WordPress 5.7.2 with Photograph Theme

Lovely plugin which might be having trouble with my site. Perhaps not compatible with my theme (Photograph by Theme Freesia).
Sometimes it starts automatically on front page sometimes it stalls.
I’ve only made one slider with 5 images.
Is this beta?

Site down – intermittent

Hi there,
I get notifications from jetpack every other hour or so saying it’s down and then on again.

I didn’t have this issue until recently and the site is loading very slow compared to before as well.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

WP site is intermittent

Hello there, folks!
Greetings.

I am facing something weird here. The main domain ferraz.net does not have any WP installed (it is just a static page), but the subdomain shop.ferraz.net is intermittent when not accessible at all.
I contacted my hosting service and they answered that “the server is okay”. As simple as that.

What happens is:

– A couple of friends of mine say the page does not open on Android
– The site works on desktop (Chrome and Mozilla FF on Windows), but sometimes not. Sometimes I just need to refresh the URL few times and it loads okay. Sometimes not.
– The site is intermittent on Safari’s iPhone (more frequently than desktop)

I tried the basic troubleshooting, by disabling plugins, etc.

Something strange I noticed: when running https://geopeeker.com the subdomain is not rendering at all.
I also have setup an alert using the uptimerobot site to ping the subdomain every 5 minutes, and there is no notification that the site is down, even when I am not able to open it.

Is this challenging for you guys?

Some Users Unable to Enter Credit Card Info

I have some users who are reporting that they cannot enter credit card information on my checkout page. It’s a small number, and when I test it, I am unable to reproduce their problem. These users have all tried swapping browsers and devices with no luck.

Users report reaching the checkout page and seeing nothing about entering credit card info. When they click Check Out, the page throws an error that they haven’t selected a payment method, and sends them back to the previous page. Now, the credit card fields show, but they are unable to enter any data into them.

Yoast suddenly disappeared?

Hi, I have a website, on which I have used Yoast for titles and meta descriptions

But now, suddenly, I can’t find Yoast anymore. It does not figure as a plugin, and I can’t use it, when I am editing a page. Also, the titles and metas I made are gone.

I tried to re-install Yoast, but it said: Installation failed – The destination folder already exits.

I have not tried this kind of issue with a plugin before. Does anybody know what could be wrong and how to fix it?

Ongoing SMTP connection errors so moved to alternative plugin

I’m afraid I have to give your plugin a bad review as in my experience it’s recently prone to regular intermittent connection errors as in the SMTP connect() failed error. It had worked great for many months on a customer’s site we manage but suddenly from about 3 months ago we started seeing intermittent, (but unfortunately also very regular) failures of automated emails being sent. On checking it was always an SMTP connect or authentication error – even though we had not changed the SMTP server settings at all and I was able to confirm the same settings worked sending emails from mail clients or testing via other means. I had made sure we were always using the latest available version of your plugin and did try the troubleshooting steps as at https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting but it made no difference. My hosting provider’s tech support could not explain it either. They eventually suggested I try a different SMTP plugin.

Two weeks ago I disabled your plugin and instead installed the WP Mail SMTP Plugin by Mail Bank. I configured it with the exact same SMTP authentication settings as before. Since then I have seen 100% success with emails being delivered every time. I’m afraid this clearly suggests to me a problem with your plugin.
