Is there any possibility that WordPress consider Invision embed codes to be accepted in their security list?

Using the IFrame tag that Invision provides, results in a very weird experience. The prototype is half-hidden and it is not responsive.

What is the “miracle” of the script IPB 4 and can I change some plugin configuration in WordPress to be efficient equal Invision? For I want future integrate SparkPost on another site, but without me having to install 30MB of Invision forum and new license, wanted a open script only to send e-mails, as WordPress.

I also tested using Sparkpost with www.thenewsletterplugin.com – SparkPost properly configured to use the API, but it takes time (hours or even a day).

I have researched for a such a solution but could not find anything other than InvisionBridge (which appears to be dead since the author’s site’s domain has expired). Does anyone have any solutions or plugin suggestions? I don’t want to have to “try” and heavily modify WordPress’s or IPB’s source because I want to ensure a proper integration.

NOTE: Putting IPB into an iframe on wordpress looks terribly ugly so that’s out of the question too.

IP.Converge Plugin that will connect to wordpress-mu as a Plugin (they have a Plugin’s as well) syncing the user databases together. From what I’ve seen on the talk about people wanting this for Word Press, it is something that could be implemented for IP. I believe by doing as a Plugin to Converge it will allow better and easier integration between IP.Board as well as other IP products.

With the way wordpress handles plugins and the way that Invision Power (IP) will start to handle integration these two software could be integrated fairly well with someone who is knowledgeable in php.

IP Converge is no longer in beta and is in stable release. By creating a plugin with IP.Converge and wordpress, this should be possible to make an integration that won’t be effected when IPB or wordpress upgrades and doesn’t require some sort of major hacking after every update. This is essentially what IP.Converge is designed to do as well integrate member databases between IP products and others.

The proposed method to make this work with Word Press, it was suggested that after installing wordpress, we should copy over the converge_local folder into the wordpress root directory. I would also assume we would need to modify wordpress login process to be modified to send a XMLRPC request to converge. To find an example we can look at sources/loginauth/converge/auth.php in IPB (I can provide the files if needed).

If someone is interested in looking at it, I can supply the converge_local folder which would need to be modified to work with wordpress. WordPress login process would need to be modified to send an XMLRPC request to Converge in the proper format. You can look in sources/loginauth/converge/auth.php in IPB for an example of how IPB does it. (I can provide file)

First look at my site, there is a button at the top that has Forum and yes you click it and goes to the forum and I made the skins look the same so it doesn’t really look like you are jumping to something totally different, but still you are. They should talk to each other (wordpress & invision).

These are a few quick features I think we should get in a plugin for compatibility between the two :

1. Register Users (you should be able to register for the forum and the blog all in the same FORM, make it so when you register for the forum, the blog also takes those users lists and adds it to the blog section as well.

2. Latest Posts, Top Posts, Poll (you should have something you can put in the sidebar that shows you the latest # posts or the top # posts as well as allowing a certain poll from the forum to show up on the sidebar as well.

3. Blog Entries in forum (When you make a post on your blog, maybe have some way of telling the members that spend most of their time on the forum that a new blog entry was posted up. If anything, even a section in the forum that posts the same blog entry into the forum as well. I do this already but it gets tedious when I gotta post the same thing twice. Its all about ease of use!)

Anybody has other ideas? I know there are lots of you out there with a wordpress blog as well as an invision forum right?
