]]>For a long time, this has been successful with an extension of the Bad-Bot plugin from Jeff Star here (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/blackhole-bad-bots/).
I also process data from the Wordfence plugin, for example (which is somewhat complex)
It was therefore quite logical to look for a solution for IQ-Block Country as well. Because it is very helpful to transfer an IP already recognized by a WordPress instance to the entire server in order to block further access even for other WordPress installations on the same server.
In the first step, I therefore inserted this code in line 130 of the blockcountry-logging.php file:
do_action( 'iqbc_fail2ban_logging', $iqbc_ipaddress, $iqbc_country, $iqbc_banned, $iqbc_urlRequested );
And for four weeks now, I have been able to add the accesses to the backend recognized and blocked in the plugin to Fail2ban without any errors.
It would be a great help if we could talk about the above hook and possibly 1-2 others (e.g. for a reset of the log file or rebuild of the log).
The necessary script is still beta, but I am happy to share it for my own tests. I plan to offer this to the community as an add-on in the future.
Best regards
]]>We are looking to enhance our site’s security by implementing rate limiting for Proxy/VPN/Tor IP Addresses. After reviewing ShieldPro’s features, I understand that to block bad IP/Visitors (Proxy/VPN/Tor), we can add a blocklist via the CrowdSec Community IP Reputation Database with the CrowdSec IP Blocking option set to “Block Request.” This entails purchasing a premium plan from CrowdSec and updating their CrowdSec Enroll ID in your plugin settings at Dashboard ? Config ? Block Bad IPs/Visitors ? CrowdSec Community IP Reputation Database.
Furthermore, we have already employed the rate-limiting feature at Dashboard ? Config ? Traffic Log ? Traffic Rate-Limiting. However, our specific requirement is to implement rate limiting for IP addresses detected as VPN/Proxy/Tor IP Addresses via the aforementioned blocklists, rather than applying rate limiting to the entire traffic.
Could you please provide guidance on how we can configure the rate-limiting feature to apply only to the identified VPN/Proxy/Tor IP Addresses listed in the CrowdSec Community IP Reputation Database?
Your prompt assistance on this matter is highly appreciated.
Could someone PLEASE explain, in layman’s terms, how this is supposed to work in AIOS? You’ll be helping many people who are suffering through this same dilemma!
]]>I tried to delete the plugin and install it again – it didn’t help. I tried to disable Recaptcha and delete the keys – it didn’t help. After several attempts, the website admin area crashes, if this plugin is enabled. I get error: “This page isnt working. It redirected you too many times.”
It looked like a nice plugin with all essential features. But unfortunately it’s not possible to use it, since there are too many bugs.
]]>My active Wordfence plugin seems to block all users with an activated iCloud Private Relay setting. I am looking for a solution to that problem. Is there any possibility for those users to still be able to use my site and not be automatically blocked?
Thank you.
]]>If I remove the software following the instructions given the site works fine but in some time again it starts blocking some locations.
It’s a big issue.
]]>I come across your Browser Blocking feature and it is perfect for what we need. I’d like to ask how the page can be cusomised because “Your IP has been blocked. Please Contact your Administrator.” seems a bit odd for a page a browser we are just trying to block.
Can we change the message for this in any way?
