Ver 1.3.12 not rendering italic with \textit or \it

After upgrading to Ver 1.3.12 the page is not rendering italic with \textit or \it. Renders as regular non italic.

also \underbrace is not displaying correctly:

e.g. https://www.starvind.com/math/peak-fall-colors/

Can you tell me how to fix the formatting in the FRONT PAGE SIDEBAR that appears beneath the slider?

1. The widget headline “FARAWAY PLACES ~ AMAZING HOMES” displays too far to the left. The first letter in “faraway” butts against the left margin. Can the spacing be adjusted?

2. The sidebar text (DISTANT DWELLINGS is a worldwide tour of architectural landmarks…etc) displays in italic font. I don’t see any em commands in the HTML code. How do I display the text without italics?

Recently I noticed the link in the Optimize Fonts box under the Stylesheet Handle that says “Unload italics”. What should happen when I click this? Nothing seems to happen for me. The link seems to be this:

I don’t see anything indicating it’s a Pro feature.

Adding italics to block template

I’m trying to register a block template using PHP. I need to be able to add modifiers to the block. For example, adding bold or italics to a heading block. My code below works, I am just unable to find out how to add strong or italic to the template. Can anyone help?

My current block template:

    'core/heading',
	array(
		'level'       => 1,
		'content' => 'This is the page title',
	),
),

I have tried things like the following (strong = true):

		'level'       => 1,
		'content' => 'This is the page title',
		'strong' => true,

But this does not work. Any help?

ctrl+i goes emphasized, not italic

Hi,
Something strange happens in my block editor with this theme (Aera)
When I use the ctrl+i shortcut, or when i clic on the “i” icon, the text goes emphasized (bold+italic+red color) instead of italics.
I’ve been using block editor in many wordpress sites and this is the first time such a strange thing happens.
I need to have italics text by using the ctrl+i shortcut, or i clicking on the “i” icon. Now I’m manually editing the text in HTML mode, but it takes too much time.
I hope you can help me, thank you in advance!

How do I change a single word in a product title to be italicised? This would mean that you would be able to see this effect on the shop page www.joeyeng.com/shop as well as the title of the product page, example product: https://www.joeyengmusic.com/product/sudade-for-solo-marimba-5-oct/
In this product, only the word “Sudade” should be italicised.

Hi, this is regarding all posts & pages of my website/blog. When composing the content of a post or page in draft mode, using either block or classic… it allows me to bold & italics on the draft & shows on the draft… but when I transfer it over to preview or publish… the bold & italicized words DO NOT appear there. I am really frustrated & want to remedy this immediately. Thank you!

Italics fail in headline field

Italics no longer work in headline field for posts in classic editor

In the past there’s been no problem using tags in the WordPress blog post headline field (see screenshot, https://drive.google.com/open?id=1PIDnD__o1CUl1lWtME8vncZil3mahoai). But that changed at some time in the past few months and it no longer works.

Can you suggest what might have changed? I have added no plugins, and am using the same templates I have for a few years.

The word ‘Irishman’ should be shown in italics.
