And I was not alone. Some got the problem fixed by updating it to the then newer or beta release. It never worked for me.
The only thing I never did was to download and upload the plugin manually. Every time I tried to install, it was always from the auto-install Add plugin -> Search feature. So, for one last time I tried doing it the hard way—and I’m now happy to announce I’m enjoying all the cool features Jetpack has to offer.

]]>I’m trying to activate Jetpack on a WordPress install, but keep getting this error message every time I try:

I have red the threads on www.ads-software.com, but none of them seem to offer any solution to the problem.
The WordPress install is on a freshly installed linux server, but hosted by someone else, so I don’t know the details of it. Are there any special system requirements I need them to check? Anything else I can do to make it work?
