we want the job offer to be shown in more than one place. Is it possible to insert the locations just with a comma and leave the other fields blank, or do we have to publish a version for each location?
Thanks for your help!
i’ve got a question or a problem.
We have customers that want to search not only in one City or region, but in whole country (Germany). When i put in “Germany” or in german “Deutschland” in the job-location field everything looks fine, but if i type in a City like “Berlin” in the search the Job with “Deutschland” is not showing up.
A Candidate almost always types in a city or region. But when he/she does, the job with “Deutschland” is not showing up.
Do you guys have any idea on what i can do to fix that?
Thanks alot.
Best Regards
Roy
]]>Initially, jobs with a location of “MN” (the abbreviation for the state of MN) would only be found if the user searches for MN.
I changed one of my test jobs to be Duluth, Minnesota. When searching for “MN”, that job continued to show up, but also showed up when I searched for “Minnesota”. When I deleted “Minnesota” from the location and reverted to “MN”, the job still shows in search results when searching for “Minnesota” even though that text is no longer shown in the job, anywhere.
I’m curious as to why this is happening.
As a feature request (e.g. should there ever be a more advanced version of this plugin) I’d love to see employers/locations having more robust support.
E.g. see the “Venues” and “Organizers” capabilities of “The Events Calendar” plugin, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/the-events-calendar/, which allows for venues and organizers to be saved independently of events. The result is that an editor can select from an existing orgranizer and/or venue when creating a new event for the calendar. Both the organizer, and the venue, have fully formatted location data (e..g. street address, city, state, zip, country etc.). That level of granular data makes sense when it comes to searching for a job, and having something like the state not be free-form would be helpful.
]]>Here you can find multiple job location for that job offer we posted. But sadly we can select only one location for this job offer.
Else are forced to create multiple same job offer with different job location, which will create lot of duplicate contents and posting. To avoid this, if there is an custom field to add more job location in the schema field, it would be veryhelpful. AM not sure would google would support this or there is parameter in schema.org too.
Anyway have a look at it. Thanks.
]]>I’m exploring using your plug-in on our site.
Two questions about Job Location. We don’t want to put in the full address, but instead will use something like “Greater Seattle Area” in the “Address Locality” field.
1. How do I make the Job Location section show up on the position page?
2. Is there a way to make that Address Locality show up on the Job Postings page under the Job Title?
Thanks!
Rob
]]>I’ve installed your plugin and it’s great. I’ve modified the notification emails too, but wondered if there is a bit of code I can add to get these emails to also list the job location?
Many thanks in advance.
