kubrickheader.jpg refusing to show

Hi – I am using the default theme, and my wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickheader.jpg image is refusing to show on either the admin or frontend. I keep on seeing /default/images/header-img.php !!!???

The kubrickheader.jpg file even has 777 permissions.

Please can somebody advise me what I am doing wrong. Thanks.

Default theme appearance header not working

I can’t modify colors for the default (kubrick) theme, even though the codex and admin pages seem to support this. No matter what top and bottom colors I choose, there is no change. Also, I can only set the text to black or white.

Now, it’s not surprising the gradient colors can’t be modified, since the image is a static jpeg (kubrickheader.jpg). Is this file supposed to change dynamically? Am I not understanding how the control is supposed to work? Is it really broken?

Trouble changing header on Default 1.6

In spite of everything I’ve done, I can’t get the header image from on top of the background in the header. I uploaded a new image and changed it’s name to kubrickheader.jpg. I changed sizes and margins to match my site successfully, but this one has me stumped. I’ve looked at other threads, but the advice didn’t do the trick for me. I know it can be done, because I’ve seen it. Here it is, maybe somebody can see what I’m not.

im currently modifying the default theme here:

As u can see, the problem is quite obvious.
I replaced the header image in the back with my own version, but i need to disable the php generated image above.

First, it worked by deleting the line “ ” from the header.php, but unfortunately, the nexgen gallery plugin needs it (dont mind the images, it’s just a test gallery), so I had to put it back.

Can someone help me?

Changing Header in Default Theme II

OK, I’m inching along to a solution on changing the Default, blue-blob header- But I’m not there yet.

So far I’ve added a new jpeg as a test header and named it kubricikheader.jpg in /wp-content/themes/default/images

You can see it at www.jerusalemrepublic.net and my latest post shows what it is.

It’s there but behind the blob. How do I get rid of that blob? I’ve also tried removing the funtions.php from /default and also eliminating all text in the php. It seems this function is used to recolor the header, so I figured that without it maybe I’d pass Go. But that wasn’t the case. When I moved it, or its text, I got the full size blob back in the original color.

Any thoughts on where to go from here?

I replaced kubrickheader.jpg with a custom image that is the same size and name, but now the header on my site has just disappeared, although I can see the text (ghosted).

Any idea what I did wrong?

style.css problem

I am using the default theme. I changed the kubrickheader.jpg to my logo w/ w=760 and h=110

I went through the style.css and made the header parts all the same height and width. However all I see is blue at the top even when I comment out colors?

How would I go about hyperlinking the header in the default wordpress theme after taking away the blog title and description.

Basically, I’m looking to create my own header and hyperlink that image using the kubrickheader.jpg.

If you could post the code needed to change/replace/add, I would really appreciate it.

I hope this question is not allready answered in another post. but i looked, and couldn′t find it. so anyway, if it was answered, forgive me, and send me a link to the topic.. now my question:

I’ve uploaded the .png file. I’ve also looked for references to .jpg or jpeg (content types, e.g.) but can’t figure out how I can make the header be loaded from a .png file. Any help appreciated!
