Video playback on a TV is not as smooth as on the computer

We use WordPress version 6.6.2 for internal communication.
We create messages, information or other “slides” on the computer, which are then published internally on screens.
We also have a template in which we can insert videos as such a slide. The specifications are max. 200MB data volume and the file format .mp4

I complied with these specifications and the preview on my local PC was smooth and problem-free.

However, as soon as I published the templates on the screens, the videos stuttered and kept jumping forward in time as soon as the image was running again.

I spoke to IT and they told me that the internal network connection was not the problem, but rather the software.

That’s why I wanted to share this problem here in case anyone else has had problems with it.

Very slow typing into Meta Description box

It would seem there is an inherent problem with Yoast SEO plug-in as I have seen other users experience this. When typing into the Yoast Meta Description box, it is incredibly slow for the text to appear – at least two seconds per character! This never used to happen in older sites – I manage quite a few and it happens in all of them.

I have tried disabling ALL other plugins, and changed the theme to 2024/2023/2022 and it makes no difference.

The hosting servers are more than capable (SiteGround GoGeek packages).

Can anyone from Yoast please look into this issue and offer a possible fix please?

WordPress lagging when writing a new post

Hi,

I have recently started having a problem when writing a new post. It is very slow and lagging for up to 20+ seconds after writing a new sentence. I have tried using different browsers, devices, caching, deactivating plugins, contacting hosting company (they said they updated php limits) but nothing seems to be helping and it’s very frustrating. i have never experienced a problem like this before. I have noticed that wordpress has updated to a new version and the problems have started since so it might be connected to this. Can anyone help fix this issue?

Elementor editor freezes while editing long pages

The elementor is completely unresponsive as the page length increase. It’s almost impossible to edit anything.

The issue is not server or pc related because other pages, which not long are working fine. The issue is only on long web pages.

If you are reading this, be happy that you have me to tell you this: do yourself a favor, avoid 3 days of troubleshooting – DON’T install. Even backups couldn’t help. Just use other plugins. Use optimole, or Converter for media and Lazy Loader instead of Optimole. Just avoid this sluggish mess, please.

Lag between publishing changes and them going live

Hello! I use WordPress 6.0 with the Virtue Theme and php 7.4.

When we make updates to our site content, it shows up when we are logged in, but takes hours to become live to other viewers. There is a considerable lag between when I hit “update” and when the updates become live.

Any suggestions on how to fix this lag would be very appreciated!

My internal pages are slow

My backend WordPress pages are lagging whenever I try to make changes to any field data. I am facing such errors while trying to select, copy, or paste data in fields inside posts and pages. I am unable to find the exact reason for this.

I tried deactivating all plugins and found it has solved the issue. When I try activating the plugins one by one, I found numerous plugins causing the issue. How to fix this?

Grow slows down the web (TTFB) by 10 secs

I have been using this plugin for almost a year, everything worked ok, fast and lightweight. Then – out of nothing – every page of my web got to crazy 10 seconds of TTFB (time to first byte). Readers are really not willing to wait 10 seconds, staring on a blank page.
Well, after 3 hours of hassling, the only solution turned out – deactivating this plugin has brought everything to normal again.

Hi,

version 5.4.0 announces “Added WebP Support or All Accounts on Site Tools”

How is this suppose to work? After updating to 5.4.0, flushing all caches, and reoptimizing the images, the Chrome DevTools network tab still shows loading all images in their original jpeg and png versions.

Slider links not working

Hi!

I’ve just installed this template for a news site but can’t get links of the slider to work properly. Clicking post title itself doesn’t work and if I click the picture area works randomly.
Wordpress and theme are updated to last version and I have cleaned my cache.
