“Leave a Reply” only on some posts/”attempted bot” message for the rest

I am working with a blogging course at trying to increase my traffic. One of the assignments was to visit and comment on each other’s entries.

…I was told there was no “leave a reply” or comment box, which I see now there is not. When I posted an alternative link, which appears to have the box:

…the person who tried to comment said they received a notification that they were a suspected bot.

Obviously I’m getting nowhere with this assignment!

I am using the Kale theme.

I have tried using “Screen Options” and ensuring that “Discussion” is checked off for all of my posts. I have also performed a bulk action across all posts, allowing Comments and Ping backs, but nothing seems to have changed.

Can someone please help me out? Thank you in advance.

Thank you guys in advance for helping me!!

I am new to WordPress and I am really struggling with the Leave a Reply boxes. The thing is it appears on some pages and not on others. I want to delete it on some pages and want to get it back on others. Can I decide page per page if I want this box?

I tried already the screen options -> comments but nothing changes. Also, I think the loop-page, what is also suggested, is not there for my theme, I can't find it. I have the 'Make' theme. With the Jetpack plugin I installed a contact form on my Contact page. This one I would like to keep.~~Thank you so much, guys!!!~~

Leave a Reply box – is there a character limit?

Is there a limit to the length a person can post a comment? I’ve had two peeps say that when they tried to submit a long comment, their comment disappeared after they pressed the Post Comment button.

Yet I’ve had spam comment that was long, that was submitted successfully. How is that possible?

How do I increase the character limit for Comment in the Leave a Reply box?

At the end of the Leave a Reply box (before the Post Comment button) is some text referring to html tags you can use.

It appears on all my live web pages. The website is www.matildafaltyn.com.

How do I do a bulk action to remove this text:
