Check out the scam by Zemanta if you use any plugin that they had “bought”. At first they released an “update” which forced the backlink to their site on your pages by default, then they released another “update” with which you could turn it off, but even when turned off, the backlink remains. This is against the rules and should not be allowed. Watch out for anything from Zemanta!

Incoming links displays a stolen post of mine

Hi!
I discovered earlier today that the incoming link in my dashboard is displaying a post that is mine, but it’s written like it belongs to this site. Although, it’s linking back to me for the original post.

Is this spam? How do I remove it? Do I have to get a “protect my content” plugin?

The reason for this site linking back to me, is because I wrote about ink for my printer, and the site seems to be a “leech” site or whatever you may call it. It contains only stolen posts and backtracks (or perhaps it’s pingbacks?) to others that mentions ink.

Please help!

Execute brackets [] tags in theme files?

I try to use the plug-in multifeedsnap to leech content via RSS to my blog. But I have trouble getting this plug-in to work outside of a post or a page, since I only know the code with brackets. My header.php doesn’t know what to do with this brackets so it’s just displayed as text.

According to the documentation I should use:

[feedsnap, 8]feedurl[/feedsnap]

Then I thought it would be possible to use

to activate the plug-in in my header. But it doesn’t work. Any thoughts?

My blog at beforeiforget.co.uk seems to have had my halloween post ‘nicked’, as we say in England, by someone I don’t think I know.

Compare the two posts… Mine and his.

How has this happened? And how can I stop it. I’ve got antileech installed, but to be quite honest with you I have no real idea how it works and documentation on it isn’t very clear to me.

I have Observed User Agents, AppleSyndication/54. But I think that may well be my version of Safari?

All in all I am confused and I don’t want someone ‘nicking’ my content.

Any help/suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

i did not find anything in the forums or via google so my question is: does anybody of you know a good plugin to do the described work?

things i would like:
– configuration of texts (localization)
– easy integration of downloads
– customizable error/leech message.
