Thumbnail images pixelated in LightView

I am trying to set up a Gallery within Light View that works like this one https://www.simplestgallery.com/add-ons/lightview-gallery-style-plugin/
Opening images up in a lightbox. It’s working fine except the image thumbnails are pixelated. If I change the image size from thumbnail to medium it works fine and isn’t pixelated, but does not then open in a lightbox. Original image is 900 x 900 pixels and 72dpi.
The site is being developed using Divi theme and is not yet live.
Hope you can advise?

Lightview in WordPress not working in Firefox PC only

Lightview is not working in wordpress 3.8.1 with Firefox on the PC. It is working in Firefox on the Mac.

Lightview is working in the following browsers:
PC: Chrome, Safari, IE10
Mac: Firefox, Chrome, Safari

The problem environment is:
Windows7
Firefox 26.0
Lightview 3.3.0

This was broken with previous version of Firefox,Lightview, and WordPress. This has been broken for some time on two of my sites. I created a test site to remove my themes from the equation.

My test page is test.dglowin.com/floor-plans

Here is what I did to create this testing environment:
1. Started with WP current theme, twentyfourteen.
2. Added directly to twentyfourteen:
– lightview.js in js file
– images for lightview Floor Plans page
– page template with images properly coded for Lightview
– Modified functions.php to add wp_enqueue_script for lightview.js
– Added lightview css and my Floor Plan css directly to the end of style.css

I tried the enqueue of lightview both in the header and the footer. Both ways worked in all other browsers. Neither way worked in Firefox on the PC.

I posted on the Lightview forum, but the author said it was WordPress’s fault.

Use with responsive templates

First of all: thank you for this plugin, just what I needed. Only problem is when using your plugin with twentytwelve and other responsive websites, the full-size images don’t scale to the viewport, due to the limitation of lightbox2. Any chance of a change to lightview in stead of lightbox2, as lightview does scale to screen size?

Showing Images Description/Caption with lightview

I use NextGEN Gallery with lightview in order to show the albums. It works fine. The only thing to do was to add those lines in the custom effect box :
class=”lightview”
data-lightview-group=”gallery[%GALLERY_NAME%]”

But I have one problem. I can’t figure how to force lightview to show the description of the image (from the nextgen gallery) as a caption.

To display a caption in lightview, I add : data-lightview-caption=” “. But how can I retrieve automatically the description of the image, in order to give it to the data-lightview-caption=”” ?
Is there something like %IMAGE_DESCRIPTION% I can use ?

Hello,

Is there a way of adding a link to original image? Lightview is responsive, so when viewed on a small screen, the image is quite small. Having a link to the original image would allow viewers to see the full size if needed.

[Plugin: Lightview Plus] Remove Letterbox from Video Thumbnails.

I’ve recently installed Lightview Plus and while checking my video clip pages I see that the thumbnails Lightview places onto the page have black letterbox bars at the top and bottom of the image. These images are in 16:9 ratio but the thumbnail seems to be in a 1:1 ratio, this filling in the blank space with letterbox bars. I’ve looked at the settings for Lightview and in the CSS files but I can’t figure out how to set a separate value for height from width specifically just for the video thumbnails. Has anyone else had this problem, does anyone know how to overcome this challenge? Any help would be hot.

[Plugin: Lightview Plus] Custom screenshot for Vimeo embeds?

1 have two questions:

1) I need to know what shortcode to use so that we can create custom thumbnails for vimeo embeds.

This is because we have a portfolio with video at different aspect rations, but want the video screenshots to all the same size.

So: If I put in the screenshot image using regular HTML code, what is the shortcode that goes in the HTM anchor around the image in order to have the Lightview Vimeo video embed display on-click ?

2) When I use the “normal” embed code from Vimeo, the Lightview Plugin changes the display to the small thumbnail. Is there a way to exclude the Lightview Plugin from specific pages, so that we can have a full size embed on certain pages?

This plugin is great. After 5 hours and 3 plugin installed/uninstalled, I discovered this OrangeBox. PERFECT.

My need was to show my Youtube HD videos/tutorials. I just edited the fields:
Max Video Height: 0.75
Max Video Width: 0.75

and the plugin automatically fit the browser window, according to the chosen percentage values.

I just installed the lightview plugin for wordpress and it seems to be working ok, the only thing is the videos are showing up underneath each other. Is there a way to get them to be side by side?
