Linkback Settings Distracting/Confusing/Causes Readers to Become Lost

When you click on the footnote within the text, it drops you down to the footnotes at the end of an article. However, I find that the linkback function in the actual footnote, the function that throws you back up into the body of the text, is confusing. I have long articles and it is often very difficult to easily determine where you were in the article once you return from a footnote – the script scrolls through enormous amounts of text, and it’s very difficult to pick up reading where you left off.

My suggestion is one of two things (preferably both):
1. allow users to adjust the settings for where on the screen the linkback takes the reader – will the original footnote be at the very top line of the screen? 1/4th of the way down? (I believe right now the script places the linkback roughly in the middle of the screen).

2. When clicking the linkback button, highlight some portion of the line that the footnote marker appears in the body of the article – this way, my eyes will be drawn directly to where I left off reading.

Link Back Trouble

I was getting link back messages on my wordpress site. The link back was to my meeting location page. I have since removed the meeting location page and I still get link backs.

Is there any way to stop this.

Link Back From Twitter Not Working

Got the plugin up and running. Whilst I was developing the WP site it had a longer URL. Now I have applied a domain name so https://tvcm.co.uk/mela2014/?p=5332 is now http:/boromela.co.uk/?p=5332 – however I’ve also smartened up the Permalinks to the post I’m broadcasting to twitter is actually https://boromela.co.uk/final-test/ and whilst https://tvcm.co.uk/mela2014/final-test/ might find it https://tvcm.co.uk/mela2014/?p=5332 does not.

I don’t want to change the permalinks back as I have other issues depending on the URL’s being as they are. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin to no avail.

what do you suggest?

Internal "What links here" widget

It would be awesome if there were a widget that allowed to group internal pages that link to a particular page (similar to Wikipedia’s what links here page. eg. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/WordPress )

This plug-in would work for internal links only, ensuring that spammers would not be able to leverage the linkback, and would improve SEO for the sites that use it as it would create an internal linking structure that would make every page that much stronger.

I’ve looked through the list of plugins out there but none seems to do that and it appears to me that this would be a great widget to put in the core package.

Ciao. Da sempre, almeno da quando ho notato questa funzione, non mi appaiono i Link in Entrata nella bacheca di WordPress. Spunta la scritta “Questo widget della bacheca interroga Google Blog Search in modo da visualizzare i link a questo sito provenienti da un altro blog. Per ora non sono ancora presenti link in ingresso…. è tutto ok — non c’è alcuna fretta.”
Ho il blog da oltre un anno, e so che ci sono dei reindirizzamenti su altri blog che rimandano al mio… sapete come risolvere?
L’Url inserito è

In my Dashboard don’t appear the Incoming Links, it says that there aren’t Incoming link, but it’s not right, i know that there are some link back to my blog.
