WordPress shows code after livwriter publishes post.

After I publish a post with live writer the post shows all the code, am I doing something wrong?

WP 3.6 – Live Writer no longer connects

After updating to 3.6 I can no longer get Live Writer to connect to my personal wordpress.com blog. When attempting to open a saved draft I’m getting this error in Live Writer:

The server reported an error with the following web address:

https://site.domain.com/xmlrpc.php

503 Service Temporarily Unavailable

I’ve read number of posts which say to re-enable External Publishing but the settings they point to does not appear in my dashboard at all. It’s unclear if something has changed in 3.6 as this has worked fine for years prior.

How to use wordpress plugins together with Live Writer

Hi All,

Because the posts composed by the Windows Live Writer is converted to html format automatically, some code text is changed to html format. For example.
[cc lang=”text”]

[/cc]

Above text becomes this:

[cc lang="text"]

[/cc]

I am not quite sure but I think this change may prevent the plugins in wordpress website working normally. So I am asking a way to keep it plain in Windows Live Writer. So the plugins in wordpress website can still be used. Have you seen the same problems? And what are your solutions?

I am sorry for asking a Live Writer’s question in this forum. Because I know many of you are experienced and so kind. And actually I have already sent a similar question to the Live Writer’s support forum (https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/is/writergeneral/thread/79997b8b-eaea-4392-893f-7d60be13babe), but according to their low response rate, no answer is expected to be received in a few days.

Can't skip lines when using Livewriter

When I post to WP using Livewriter, any skipped lines are ignored. Any ideas?

LiveWriter and Roles

I have a few different roles such as Contributor and editor. A editor should be able to see all the posts while a contributor can only see what is assigned to him. All this works fine with WP web editor. However, when using LiveWriter, no posts show up for the contributor role even though there are posts assigned to him. How can I resolve this?

Updated to 3.2.1 and Livewriter no longer sees width of theme correctly.

I updated to version 3.2.1 the other day, since doing this my WLW (windows live writer) no longer sees the theme correctly. It seems to think my theme is very wide when it isnt at all (www.mumsbabymagazine.com for example of my theme).

I therefore reinstalled my theme (which I created using Artisteer). I also made sure that I ‘updated theme’ in WLW. However, it still sees the theme as very wide… This is making it rather difficult to post using WLW.

PLEASE HELP! I have posted a similar topic in the themes section but have had no reply for over 2 days.

3.2.1 update broken Windows Livewriter template width

I have been using Windows Live Writer for many years without any problems. However, since the update to wordpress 3.2.1 I am finding that my Windows Live Writer has completely lost my template width and seems to make a mess of all my posts.

I have reinstalled my theme (created using artisteer) and have deleted my blog account from livewriter and reinstalled it… I have also selected to update my blog theme in Livewriter which downloads succesfully. However, it simply has no idea about the width.

Help please as I do not want to have to write posts from the dashboard!

Finding user name and password

Dear Friends

I am trying to link Livewriter with WordPress and everytime I do this I am told

“blog could not be accessed using specified username and password.”

Can someone advise me how I can find my username and password. I tried the admin settings and that gives me a username but I have tried my usual password to no avail.

I just got a Dell mini running Win 7 starter.It comes with window Live Writer.What is W.L.W and does it work with hosted WP blogs,mine is hosted thru Blue Host.If so is it recommended ? Also will it impact my blog theme/layout ?
