Our Premium Licence has run out recently and we are looking to renew this. However, it was setup a long time ago and we do not know what the registered email is.
If we were to create a brand new account on Wordfence and purchase a new Premium Licence, can we just connect the website as usual? Or will there be a problem because we already have an account connected to Wordfence?
Thank you very much for your time.
Many thanks,
Labtec
]]>But after 15 minutes plugin don’t release lockout and unban IP address although on database the expiration time has passed (if I check on DB the row on table still exists)
I have tried on 2 different server/wordpress and the result is the same.
Can anyone help us?
Thanks a lot,
Regards,
GM.
I do not want to raise the number of lockouts before increasing the lockout time, as that compromises security. However, I am drowning in email notifications, and so would like to increase how many lockouts must occur before I get an email notification.
Right now I am using the default “4 lockouts increase lockout time to 24 hours.” I cannot raise the Notification threshold beyond 4 unless I increase the above by the same amount.
Is this a bug, or is there a reason for this limit that I do not understand?
Thank you.

]]>First off I want to say that your plugin is fantastic – I’ve already recommended it to multiple people so thank you for the hard work and great product.
Our site is encountering a lot of people being locked out when trying to log in that are normal visitors that have registered to post on our forums. I was wondering if there is a way to relax on the lockouts for our site specifically or if there’s anything you notice may be causing this issue. It seems to be about 10% of our visitors that come from all around the globe.
Thanks again!
]]>I have changed a few settings to slow them up (only 1 login attempt, lockout period 1440 mins (24hrs), no notifications (got buried after 890 emails!) and I have hidden the backend login….which works for me but I am still seeing the lockouts grow each hour.
]]>Over the past 3 days, I have received dozens of emails from the plugin with:
Site Lockout Notification
“too many attempts to access a file that does not exist”
Because the IP address is whitelisted, I don’t actually get locked out, but why is this happening at all?? I am simply updating the pages via the dashboard. Another weird thing is that I only get these emails in the afternoon/evening, even though I have been working on the site since 7am this morning. And no, I’m not doing anything different in the afternoon.
Any thoughts?
