Is there any way to show the logs in Local Time?

In “WP-Admin -> Settings -> FastCGI Cache Purge and Preload for Nginx -> Settings -> Logging Options” the logs have a date that looks like this:

2025-03-10 14:16:05 SUCCESS: Nginx cache preload completed for both Mobile and Desktop in 0 hours, 1 minutes, 18 seconds.

However, that timestamp is several hours off from my local time. I assume because it’s using UTC. I am wondering if there is any way to put the local time into the time stamp instead of using UTC. Let me know if this is possible.

Why logging twice?

Once, my server was Apache-Plesk, then became Apache-Cpanel. Since it became Cpanel, I can’t access Apache’s server logs anymore (it’s a choice my hoster made, don’t worry about). A viable workaround has shown to be CountryBlocker’s log-feature. But why do you log each access twice, like that:

{"time":"xxx","client_ip":"yyy","country":"ZZ","is_proxy":"","proxy_type":"","lookup_by":"BIN","cache":false,"uri":"uuu":"Country not in the list.","action":"BLOCKED"}

{"time":"xxx","client_ip":"yyy","country":"ZZ","is_proxy":"","proxy_type":"","lookup_by":"BIN","cache":false,"uri":"uuu","message":"Access denied.","action":"ABORTED"}

while time, client_ip, country and uri are exactly the same in both the messages? It would be smart, to log only once. Because your log afterwards is being used to feed NCSC, and filtering out the doublets makes a lot of work. This leads to the next question:

For those with free plan (like me); could you cut the proxy too?

I just started using this today! This plugin requires almost no work to setup and provides offsite storage of your logs for up to 90 days.

I’ve battled with various WP plugins to do activity logging and this is proving to be very good so far.

Support is good as well! Please give it a try you will not be dissapointed.

Bridging the gap between Mailpoet and FluentSMTP ??

I must admit, I was surprised to learn that I wasn’t able to log my SMTP traffic using vanilla Mailpoet out of the box. I’ve been using several SMTP plugins over the years, and they are in reality mandatory if you want to ensure predictable delivery of emails sent from the web server, including SSL encryption and authentication. Not to forget logging, which is crucial to debug any delivery issues.

I’ve tested Override PHP Mail for Mailpoet with FluentSMTP and so far it works perfectly. All outgoing mail is now being logged and can be monitored within the dashboard.

To make sure I have a fallback available, I did the following:

first I set up the standard Mailpoet SMTP sending method, including its settings for SMTP host name, port, username, password and SSL, and made sure that worked.
then I configured FluentSMTP with the same SMTP settings, and made sure that worked too.
finally, I switched Mailpoet send with from SMTP to Your web host / web server (php), and performed a final test, including checking the newsletter was logged in FluentSMTP. It was.

That way, should the override fail, I should be able to disable the plugin and toggle Mailpoet back to SMTP and carry on as usual, albeit without the logging.

Understanding Logs Columns

Hi! We are Relevanssi Premium customers and I’m attempting to address some spam and heavy load on the search requests. I’ve turned on logging for the plugin. I’d like to understand two things:

A) How the ‘hits’ column in the logs is incremented. Is it when the query and IP address are the same the hits value is incremented? Or does it have to be in the same session_id too?

B) Does the ‘time’ column show the timestamp of the last ‘hit’ or something else?

User logouts not being tracked

Compatibility with PSR-3 logging

This may not (yet) be a solvable problem but I wanted to share this…

The Flexible Shipping plugin uses the standard PSR-3 logger interface (https://www.php-fig.org/psr/psr-3/). It uses version 1 of PSR-3 that is compatible with PHP v7.

A problem can arise if another plugin is using PSR-3 version 2 or 3 and loads the logger after Flexible Shipping has loaded version 1. The resulting error will be something like:

Declaration of Logger::emergency(Stringable|string $message, array $context = []) must be compatible with Psr\Log\LoggerInterface::emergency($message, array $context = [])

The problem is with type hinting in the function signatures in v2 & v3 that don’t exist in v1. The fix is to use PSR-3 version 3 but that is not compatible with PHP v7.

Console Logging?

Continous Logging Leads to Oversized debug.log

Hello All,

I am having a problem where WPSSO keeps creating an error message every 1 second in my debug.log file, this leads to oversized log files. The first time I found this error the log was about 12GBs big. I would like to disable logging in WPSSO, but I wasnt able to find the setting for it in WordPress. It would be great if someone could tell me where this setting can be found.

In the meantime, I will continue trying to solve the issue, I identified it has to do most likely with Elementor, but until the issue can be fixed I would really like to disable logging, as it is killing my site.

Hello, I am building a company website and am currently testing your WP ERP system. I would like to switch to the Pro version but unfortunately I can’t get the email plugin to work. I keep getting error messages that I can’t authenticate myself. WHERE can I find the log files? or is it not logged?
