Long post translations don’t work anymore (short texts ok)

Hello,

When I try to translate a long pos (3500 words or more), it doesn’t work anymore and I have the loading icon indefinitely.

It was doing this before sometimes on first translation try, but on the 2nd one, everything was fine.

Now, since a month maximum (last time I used it), it doesn’t work anymore for long posts – and I am being billed, so DeepL is receiving the request.

Translating texts of a few sentence still works.

Nothing changed on my website.

I have enabled logs, but it doesn’t show anything at all for the failed translations.

Did you notice any issue with long posts translations these days?

Wrong SVG dimensions on longer posts

I’m using from SVG icons () to link to social networks.
They look just fine on most pages.

But for longer posts, the SVG icons are huge with each taking the full width of the display.

What could cause this? Is it because longer posts have too many elements, and AMP size limitations cause issues with formatting, or could it be something else? What actions should I taken to prevent this?

Hello,

I am a new user and I have just started trying to use this plug-in to publish on Apple News.
I managed to successfully publish an article before, however I don’t seem to be able to publish another one as when I click to publish the page seem to load for a very long time until I get a blank page with the error:
“Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.”

I was wondering if there is a way I can solve this issue. My impression is that it is related to the post being very long, it can be found here: https://pguarnieri.me/2015/05/19/the-end-of-the-world-argentina-south-georgia-antarctica/

Please let me know if I can do something about it, I’m not very technical regarding these things so sorry in advance if it’s something silly.

Text editor lags when editing long post

One of my posts is very long. Lately, when I edit it, the text editor lags. A second or longer passes between when I hit the key and when it appears on the screen. This makes it difficult to work with.

I looked up similar problems and found the advice to disable emojis, but the problem persisted even after I installed the Disable Emojis plugin.

I’m trying to add some text in default WordPress post pagination buttons. Can’t do this yet. I use the default short code and i got 1,2,3… buttons. I’d like to add some text or html with image in this buttons. Any ideas?

'Read More' link after 300 words, only on posts over 400 words?

i’ve been googling for a while and can’t find any code or plugin to do this (hope i’m just missing it). My site has lots of long-ish articles, and we like to post most of the body of the post in the homepage loop. however, if it gets really excessively long i’d like a “Read More…” type link placed automatically after X number of words. But i dont want there to ever be an instance where after the ‘read more’ link there’s only like one or two more sentences, making the ‘read more’ irrelevant and kind of annoying for readers.

so i want something that will count the words in the post and if they exceed 400, will place the ‘read more’ at the 300th word instead.

possible?

Any software or code to reduce my labor. Its okay if your suggested way have no title or only title but no content.

Long posts disappear. Bug?

Hello.
I got a trouble on my WordPress 2.9.2 and even some earlier versions when I make a long post. When it gets to some limits the post disappears and is shown blank: just the title and an empty space instead of the text. If I delete some characters then the post is shown again.
I got this trouble on default and some other custom templates. Is this a bug or I just didn’t notice the option disabling it?
Can I remove such character limits and post any length I like?

500 error on long post?

I’m getting 500 errors when I try to post a super long post. I’ve never had them before and I’ve had wordpress installed for about 2 months.

I’ve been looking and some people have fixed it with .htaccess. I can’t use that because the server I’m using is a windows server and not linux.

any ideas on how to fix it?
