Website expired, I have a backup but how do I access my content?

Hello everyone,

My domain expired in december and I stupidly didn’t renew for finacial reasons. Anyway, I was using Updraft plus to backup automatically as well as a monthly database backup too. Now I have all those files, is there a way I could compile them locally or somewhere to get my website backup and running just to get the content. I do not intent to reuse that website so if it could be done for free that would be the best option.

Those are the files I have access to:
– WordPress SQL database file
– Updraft Plus DB file
– Updraft Plus Uploads
– Updraft Plus Plugins
– Updraft Plus Themes
– Updraft Plus Others

Lost My Website, Freaking Out…

I was ready to change my url to the new website which was originally motivationallearning.ca over to samanthabiron.com. I (naively) went into settings and typed in the new url and the entire site shut down and prompted me to log in again only to log in to my old website which is currently showing at samanthabiron.com. I fear that all of the work that was originally done by ‘thewebsiteguys’ along with all of the work I have now done is forever lost and I may just throw up…

Is there any known way to retrieve it?

I am IT support for the business associated with the domain aboutfacefacialanalysis.com.au. The website stopped working some months ago. Unfortunately, the person who designed the website is no longer contactable, so the business owner has asked me to investigate on her behalf as she had no idea where it was hosted and what website platform was used. After much research and contacting various hosts, it appears the site is a www.ads-software.com one as the DNS records point to wordpress IP’s. Can anyone please assist me in recovering access to this website? Entire website and WP log in gone

I went to post a new blog on my site, and the whole thing has disappeared. 400 Bad Request is all that shows up. It still shows up in my Hostinger account, but I can no longer log into WordPress, and the entire site is gone.

I’m at a loss as to what to do. I set up this new forum account so that I can post this. I’m at a complete loss. Please help.

Hello smart people,
I am a student who started CS this semester.
I have been posting what I learned every day in class, so I have had many posts since my first day in CS.
My domain is: www.agilemeadow.com
The hosting company was: AWS

However, I suddenly found a billing issue with AWS, so I had to delete the instance. After deleting the instance, I cannot reach out to my website or the contents I have been working on.

Please help me with this… I am desperate losing my first devlog is the last thing that I want to do, but no one around me can help this.

Lost access and website?

I think I may have lost my entire website….

I have transferred my domain to a new provider. I did not realise that the access to my website files in wp was connected. I thought that my login to wp was a seperate thing and I could get on with backing up and then migrating my website…not so sure now as I can’t access my website account in wp.

I don’t have any wp to click on in my old host and my new host is just showing a new blank wp and goes to “site not found” if I try to get in to my admin panel via the new hosts.

Have I messed up terminally this time? I did do a rss export thing but didn’t back up as it was next on my list of things to do. Not sure what, if anything I can do with the rss / xml thing? Can my files be retrieved somehow or has my website disappeared in a puff of ineptitude?

In 2015 I built a site with WordPress, www.theoryguide.org

I used it for a year then didnt need it anymore. Circumstances changed and now I need it again. I’ve just logged back into wordpress but can’t see anywhere that I might access “my sites” or “my pages” to even start to find it

Anyone got any ideas please?

Disconnected jetpack and website lost from “my site”

I’m helping out a friend to restore and make live his website on new hosting.
Backup is successfully restored on new hosting and domain is pointing to it.

Still the website is saying 404 error.
Referred to documents saying need to disconnect and reinstall jetpack will solve the problem.
I got into wp-admin and disconnected the jetpack and was redirected to wordperss home saying ” You don’t have any WordPress sites yet. Would you like to start one?”

I’ve lost the connection to my wp-admin
also, the website is not live.

can anyone help me out here?

Critical error after wordpress update

Hi
I didn’t update wordpress for a while and when I did it with the last version I had a critical error and I can’t access my website anymore (as administrator or visitor).
The only way to access my website is by FTP.
How can I do? (I am not a real webmaster…)
I have all elements saved (via FTP) and a bit old backup made with backuptrust (if I can’t avoid using it it’s better because it’s not the last version)
Here is the error message that appear when I go on my page:

Lost website after changing domain name

One of my colleague created the website on a link like this xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.cloud.bunnyroute.com . When he was ready i changed the domain name from virtual host. After that i checked from hosts if the website is ready for dns migration but all the content was gone. In wp-admin dashboard > settings > general it was the new domain. Same in wp_options. With all this everything is gone.

Help please
