Low-resolution photos displaying on mobile

On our home page we have a SiteOrigin Post Carousel widget. It looks great on desktop but no matter which file size we choose for the images, they appear to be blurry on mobile. Is there a reason for this? Am I missing something in the settings that’s creating this issue?

CDN showing 640px images in slider

A strange dot by centered layout + Photos are low res

Hello! I notice that there is a strange dot to the left of the centered layout author box… See photo here: https://we.tl/t-aEB8FpAtSK How can I remove that? It only appears in the centered layout

Also, author photos are being showing in the author box as VERY low res, when I know they are actually higher… How can I fix this?

Images are compressed by default

Hey everyone. So I have been using Twenty Twenty for a while without issues, but my biggest complain is related to images compression. All thumbnails look fine, but whenever I click an image to expand it (even if it’s originally in 1080p or higher resolution) it is automatically compressed and looks awful.

The same happens when using Wide Width and Full Width in the CMS before sending an article live, but curiously, images look perfectly there. It’s only when they’re previewed/published that they look badly.

They are all set in Full Size, all high resolution – not sure what the problem is. I tried adding that line of code in functions.php to disable WordPress’ default compression and it didn’t solve it. The only way to bypass this that I found is to create Galleries that have two columns (example ) but I would love to use bigger images in post, and it’s a shame that I can’t seem to solve it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks a lot in advance for the time and support.

-scaled added to image name after moving from HiRes to LowRes folder

Have come across an issue where photos that have been moved from the hi-res folder to the low-res folder have -scaled added behind the image name AND the image is missing from the folder. All that exists is a placeholder with the image name, but when you click on the image, it does not exist. This issue is causing blog pages that have images being pulled from the folder to not appear.

What could be causing this to happen?

Is there a compatibility issue with hi/low-res photos, this plugin and being able to move them between folders?

Is there any way to get the images to reappear without having to re-upload them?

Front page images low res and blurry

Hi all,

The images on my front page are low resolution and blurry. I’ve been trying to troubleshoot this issue for a long time with no luck.

There was another user with a similar problem as described here in this post . I’ve implemented this user’s suggested fix and it actually worked for mobile! However, on desktop the issue still persists.

Any guidance here would be extremely appreciated!

Low res images – HELP!

Hello! We are having a critical issue where suddenly all images on our site have become super low-res! Our site uses the Uncode theme. As of last week, images were appearing clearly, at proper resolution. Now they have changed to low-res versions of all images. Images have been renamed too. Low res header images

I’ve uploaded a 7MB photo (5456?×?3632) as a header image, and used the crop tool when once it’s in the Media Library to crop to my theme’s suggested size (2000 × 450 pixels). It looks incredibly blurry once it’s been cropped. Any ideas?

The theme I’m using is ‘Head Blog’.

Album thumbnails not as sharp as gallery thumbnails

When I view a page with albums on it, the thumbnails are very low res and soft, but when I go to an individual gallery the images are high res and sharp. They are set to be the same size and dimensions. Is there a way to fix this.

This page is password protected so I’m not sure whether you can get in or not.

Low Res Header & Social Menu

Hi all.

Two questions on this amazing Cubic theme.

1) When I upload a header image (logo), I see it in low resolution from desktop. From mobile it looks okay though. Is there a way to solve it?

2) Is it possible to change the icons in the Social Menu or swap them with some text (i.e. “Facebook” instead of the FB icon).
