I am happy with the look of my site except for one thing, the pictures. In other themes I’ve used pictures I’ve posted have had a nice white frame around them and the caption text, also the caption text was a tad smaller and always centered. How can I modify this them to post images in that way?
I am hoping to “launch” my site first thing next week (start posting and getting some visitors), and have a few last minute tweaks that I am hoping someone can help me out with. I tried searching around the forums and haven’t really found the answers I am looking for, so if you’d be so kind as to give any info you have, I’d appreciate it!
Here we go:
1) Under the title of the post, it currently says: “Posted by DoneDealPal in Uncategorized”. Would it be possible to have it say “Posted by DoneDealPal at (
)”???
2) Under the post text, there is a link to post a comment that currently says “No Comments” or however many comments there are. How can I get it to say “Tell me what you think! (<comment count> comments)
3) When you click on the comment link, the title “Leave a Comment” is a little dark. Where can I set the color of this to something lighter? I don’t want to impact the color of the titles for posts or widgets.
4) When on the comment link, do you notice how the middle section drops a bit? Why is that? Can this be corrected so it stays in the same position it is on the main screen?
5) The footer text seems a bit dark as well. Where can I set the color to something lighter? I don’t want to impact the color of the text for posts or in my sidebar widgets.
Thank you everyone for your input/help. Much appreciated!!!
The one last thing that I want changed (I’ve modified the header/background of the Blue scheme) is to remove the silly little star graphic bullets that appear next to the widgets in both of my sidebars! I found the following:
https://wiki.onehertz.com/WordPress/Mandigo/FAQ/How_do_I_get_rid_of_the_star_shaped_bullets
I tried both editing the scheme.css and adding the lines to the HTML Inserts section, but neither of them seem to remove the bullets. I still see them using IE. Is there any way to blast them completely other than the methods on the page above? I searched through most of the php files and can’t find where this image is even being referenced.
In the meantime, I have removed the lines from my scheme.css and HTML Inserts sections. Any help would be appreciated more than you know!
Thanks in advance!
now i need to link a page to that template… cant get it to work
i put the template name at the top of category-3.php and set my page to use template cat3, but it doesn’t call that template, how can i get pagexyz to call category-3.php as its template?
TIA
I dont see any reference to these links in the style.css.php file. Clearly somewhere these nav links are designated to be white. But where?
How do I change this?
if anyone can take a quick look and let me know how i might be able to fix the posts causing the sidebars to shift to the right it’d be really appreciated.
It seems to happen randomly… if you don’t see it on the first try, just refresh and you’ll know what i’m talking about.
Thanks!
