I’m really hoping someone can help me with this.

I have, for some reason (most likely due to my own fault as I don’t really know how to use wordpress) have seemed to have broken the media library.

When I upload an image, I get a blank square – when I go to edit the image I can see it but it doesn’t display when I put it on a page (as a product).

So far I’ve tried the following:

-Deactivating and activating plug in to see if that affects it.
-Changed the permissions via the ftp
-installed and tried regenerate thumbnail plug in
-reset wordpress

I’m not sure what else to do?!

I hadn’t done much on the site so I thought that by resetting wordpress I could start again – but it doesn’t seem to have resolved the issue (I thought it was a conflict with a plugin that I couldn’t work out)

Any ideas?

my media library is not working. The thumbnails aren’t showing and it doesn’t show on the site when I try to edit it.

When I’m not in the editor however, it works normally.

Okay, the Media Library is not working. When I go to upload any picture the Library doesn’t seem to take it or upload it.

Here are some screenshots for your reference: (I had to upload these screenshots on my website)

and you can see the two pictures do not show either.

This part is weird … at least to me.

I wrote the Theme Author of Construction – WP Construction, Building Business by WP Charming (https://themeforest.net/item/construction-wp-construction-building-business/10439297) and he told me to contact the Hosting company … which I did and we spent over 2 hours trying to find the problem and solution because there is NOTHING wrong with the servers, hosting, php, files, etc. … we could find nothing wrong. They suggested to go the WordPress forums.

So, here I am, LOL! Usually I can figure this out but this one I can’t. I’m stuck.
I do have another client that uses the exact same theme above: https://www.socaldumpsterrentals.com/ and I have no issues uploading images at all.

So, how can I fix this? or can this be fixed? What am I doing wrong?

I just did the newest wordpress update and now I can’t upload any photos so I can’t create any new posts. I was researching and it says this has happened with a few themes not being compatible to whatever 4.5 changed. Do you know if anyone else is having this issue or how to resolve it?? I am really nervous because I don’t know how to properly backup my site so I just updated immediately. I feel stupid! I can’t go back now to the previous so I’m just stuck….

Started standard checking and unfortunately if I disable WP editor v. 1.2.5.3, media library will work again perfectly.

Y tried all possible combination but at the end the only way I could recover media library working is let WP-Editor disabled.

Is this causing the issue? My media library is also empty…

I was having trouble uploading new images to my media library. Once the images had been uploaded, they displayed a broken page symbol and do not display on my site when I place them on the page. I thought perhaps the problem was I needed to update WordPress, but once I had done so, the problem was not corrected.

Can anyone suggest what might be the problem, and how I can fix it?
