After installing and uninstalling the Sunshine Photo Cart plugin my media links got screwed up. I uninstalled the plugin after trying it because it didn’t do what I needed.
When I open up the media library most of the thumbs are blank. When I click on a thumb that’s visible the link looks like this one:
https://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/20130908_0724_web_3x4.jpg
When I click on a blank thumbnail the link looks like this one:
https://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/sunshine/1495/K1A7102_web.jpg
Apparently Sunshine photo cart changed the links but didn’t change them back when I uninstalled it. The images are all still there in the original folders and they show up in my posts. But they don’t show up in the media library due to the wrong URLs.
Is there any way to fix this besides a complete restore from an older version? I’ve done quite some work between backups and don’t want to lose it.
Thank you!
Detlef
There is a hidden options page in WordPress under https://yoursite/wp-admin/options.php
You can set a value for “image_default_link_type” as “file” (without the quotes) to link all your images by default to the original image.
I am having some problems when I upload my local instant wordpress data to the host server. I use the plugin wp migrate db, which changes all the local urls to the website domain urls. Not sure if it is the plugin or the theme, but the media address set themselves from https://127.0.0.1… to http:https://…. ie the address is invalid because of the double http at the beginning.
I can change this manually for the images used in the employee section, but the logo does not give you the ability to manually change the address and so doesn’t appear.
Any idea how I can set the correct image file location for the logo, and also the favicon and apple touch icons?
Thanks
Adam
On my wordpress blog, I am uploading large images (2048x) for retina displays. I have right click disabled on WordPress.
Using Crosspostr, my WordPress posts are reposted to Tumblr. I have also added some code (I found) to my theme that disables right click for images. But when you just click on an image in that post, it directs you to the full size media file hosted on WordPress, and you can download the full size image directly.
I figured out that I can manually go into the Tumblr post and change the link for that photo, but since I Tumblrized that archives, I have a couple of hundred posts I’d have to fix.
So ideally, I’d like to turn that off for all posts, or just have it redirect them back to the original WordPress post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
]]>This is a major inconvenience right now, I am not sure what to do as these features are words press features and not from my template. My template is running for two different sites, and it is working fine on my other site, so apparently I have done something wrong with this one. I really need some help, and I’m not super smart with this stuff. Thanks.
[ Less than an hour and you’re bumping already? Don’t do that, it’s not permitted here. If it’s really urgent then consider hiring someone. ]
