I have spent at least an hour going through previous responses on this form and I can’t seem to find someone with the same problem.
I set up this plugin on self-hosted dedicated server on Media Temple and everything works as expected. /Login page has the login firm and once someone logs in, it redirects them to the homepage.
However, I just migrated the site to a Managed WordPress Hosting server, Media Temple’s WordPress Pro and the /login page has stopped working. Once I add the credentials, it redirects me back to the same page. No error messages and the account was not logged. I have disabled all the plugins from the server and things still don’t seem to work. Thoughts?
Thanks
]]>The old site was up for three years, acting my blog ,and I felt it was time to upgrade to a new design and expand the site from just a blog to something that would encompass all the work that I do.
In the process of upgrading and changing the DNS on mediaTemple and WordPress. the old site was lost and I am looking to recover it. and use it just as a blog, with a new URL that will link to the new all encompassing site.
so my questions are:
– Where do I find the old site? It was hosted on MediaTemple (I am sure of this hosting)
– How do I change that Domain so I can use it as a blog? I don’t feel like buying ANOTHER domain name. So I am cool having “wordpress” in the URL. (is that how it can work?)
I am unsure where the new site is hosted, I thought it was MT but when I was making this change I needed to change DNS’s in WordPress so this has me confused.
Thank you again!

A staging site feature of their hosting environment essentially failed. Right under the sync site button is 30 days of backups by date… of the active site only, not the staging site… no indication otherwise. At any rate we are in a horrible position of having a missing site that they won′t provide support in recovering (they essentially told us to start over). However, when we check the database the fields seem to be their for all site pages/posts.
When attempting to view site or WP Admin at:
https://710.bb9.mwp.accessdomain.com/
this message displays.
“Error establishing a database connection”
When viewing the table for options in MyPHP Admin it says:
Error
SQL query: Edit
SHOW INDEX FROM wp_TABLE_options
;
MySQL said: Documentation
#130 – Incorrect file format ‘wp_TABLE_options’
We exported the table (5mb), imported it into a new wordpress install and migrated all site files via FTP following instructions for linking table prefix.Wordpress prompts came up and and it attempted to repair the database, no luck. When looking at import of old database into MYPHP admin, the options table isnt there at all.
Is it possible to add a new Options table?
Is it possible to export all tables into a new db with working options table?
Basically, what is best solution… thanks in advance for any help provided.
]]>WordPress displays the correct time in the UI when I look under settings > general.
However, if I look at the future cron jobs scheduled, the time for publish_future_post is being set 4 hours early.
I have another server from the same host, and all the configurations appear to be identical, and the problem doesn’t occur on this server.
Any ideas what else could be causing this? I’m totally baffled.

Why is allow_url_fopen disabled on the Grid?

]]>I have tried everything I can think of to fix this with no luck:
– removed woo theme files
– switched to 2015 theme
– disabled all plugins
– tried combinations of those /\
– replaced the woocommerce plugin
– saved permalinks every time I did something
– installed soap on the server (only flagged system status issue)
– tried everything again
I’m left to believe there is either something wrong with my host setup, or I have an issue with my database. I appreciate any help on this issue as I’m pulling my hair out and our client is stressing.

**ERROR** database error write ‘MySQL server has gone away’ – [sql=/* DUPLICATOR MYSQL SCRIPT CREATED ON : 2015-07-27 15:20:23 */
I can log in to WordPress and everything looks good, but when I visit the site it just goes to default server page on Media Temple. The URL is correct but is going to this default page on Media Temple. I checked the wp-config file and everything appears correct, I also checked the wp-options to see the site url and it is correct.
Any thoughts? I’m stumped. Please help!

Update WordPress Database”
Then when we click on “Update WordPress Database” a few seconds pass and we get an internal server error message:
“Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”
The site is hosted by Media Temple and after multiple chats with them, they have not been able to help me.
I’ve been reading through the forums looking for help and, honestly, I don’t understand the answers that were given. I’m hoping someone can explain to me what to do, step by step, (where certain files are found, named, etc.) keeping in mind I’m a newbie.
I did find an answer from @gabrielperezs who mentioned there was a bug in version 4.2.2 that provided an explanation in this link here but I don’t understand where I’m supposed to put the upgrade.php page that he shares in the above link.
Has anyone tried that fix? Can someone help me apply it? Are there any other ways I can prevent this loop and get the website back to being operational?
Thank you.

When clicking Update WordPress Database, I get an Internal Server Error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
I have tried a number of different things.
1. Switching themes
2. Resetting the plugins folder via FTP
3. Re-uploading all files & folders from WordPress 4.2.2 (except wp-content) manually via FTP. I even tried downgrading back to 4.2.1 to see if the message went away.
4. Renaming my .htaccess file
5. Increasing memory limits in wp-includes/default-constants.php
6. Repairing all the tables in the database via phpMyAdmin
I have spoken with my host mediatemple. Their suggestion for me was to export all the files from my current database and import into a new database. I got most of the way there, except a couple of tables are too large and I get logged out of phpMyAdmin before the import is complete.
The front end of my website https://netballscoop.com/ is still working fine, but I would really like to gain access to wp-admin again.
