La gestion des images est un peu lourde. Lorsque nous avons une image JPG dans le presse-papier par exemple, nous aimerions simplement la coller sans notre article ou page, et qu’elle soir automatiquement ajoutée aux médias, sans être obligé de la télécharger dans les médias pour finalement la sélectionner.
Encore mieux serait de pouvoir la poser dans l’article ou la page par “drag & drop“

Can’t add a PDF in media

Hi,

When i want to upload another file than an image, it shows me this error:
“Image dimensions are too small”
Even if the file isn’t an image!
For exemple i created a text in Word or PDF format with only writed “test”. And i have this error too when i want to upload it in my library.

Can you help me pls?

Hello,
just to inform you a pb. with picture’s titles having a single quote inside, it creates an error in generated sitemap because quote are html encoded with an & (forbiden in sitemaps), lots of apostrophes in French language

Remove Date information in Media URL

Hello everyone,
I am at my first experience with wordpress and I don’t have any experience with it.

I am involved into a project at school that involves printing in 3D some static QR Codes that redirects to simple PDF files into my wordpress page.

In the WordPress Medias I putted some pdf files.
Every of this files have an URL, like this example:

https://nameoftheblog/…/files/2018/07/LP_01.pdf

The problem is that WordPress generate an URL with the date in it (2018/07).

This lead to a problem: If I update the PDF file with the same name one month or year later, the URL will not be the same anymore and the QR code will not redirect to that file anymore.

I need an URL that is FIXED and not time dependant.I want to have the possibility to update my pdf files without changing their URL.

I was looking for something like this:

https://nameoftheblog/…/files/LP_01.pdf

Is it possible to erase the date from the generation of the URL of new medias?

I altro tried to look in other blog pages and i’ve seen that in Settings –> Media
some of them showed that there is an option called ‘Organize my files into month- and year-based folders’

The problem is that there is no such option on my media settings.

I already know that my website is self hosted and my web host should be Switch.

img not displaying (according to img source in the post)

Hi,
I’m using the free version, and was very happy with it, until I had this problem.

Sometimes the image is not displayed, there’s the default wp img missing displayed instead. I’ve noticed it appends only when I’m using an image already existing on my medias :
1/ When I create a new post, with a NEW image (not already added on my medias), everything works fine

2/ When I use on my post an image from my medias, impossible to have the image displayed in WPLP, it displays the image-missing image… Even if I try with the same image I’ve just added before.

I used 2 WPLP objects on my project, and the problem is the same in the two.

A last detail : this problem appear only in the WPLP context. If I display the same post in a single page or others page not using WPLP, the image is well displayed.

On my WPLP configuration, “display first image” is checked, and whatever size I chose, the bug is the same.

Does the problem come from my medias configuration ?
Or I’ve made a bad configuration somewhere ?

Outils idéal pour l’optimisation

Ce plugin est tout simplement génial ! J’avais un score pourri en rapidité d’affichage et maintenant je suis au top malgré mes nombreuses images de produits. L’utilisation est super clair et fonctionne à merveille. On peut choisir (ce que j’ai fait) de ne supprimer que et uniquement que les images qui ne sont pas utilisé sur le site. Idéal pour ne pas faire planter le site… Le seul hic c’est qu’il faut penser à exclure les images que l’on ne veut pas trop optimiser. Je m’explique : j’avais vraiment un mauvais score pour mes photos, du coup j’y suis allé franco dans l’optimisation et j’ai choisi le mode “ultra”. Pour mes photos de produit qui sont en 800×800 ?a été parfait, pas de perte de qualité tout en réduisant de moitié le poids. Par contre mes images qui était au format A4 (1024px) la qualité n’est plus du tout au rendez vous. j’aurai du les exclure avant de lancer l’optimisation de masse…
Ce qui est top également c’est que le plugin s’insinue aussi dans la bibliothèque lorsque l’on veut ajouter une nouvelle image. Du coup on peut l’optimiser dès l’intégration dans les médias.
J’en avais essayé un autre qui m’avait tout foutu en l’air mais celui est top. Du coup j’ai acheté un forfait de 20000 optimisation qui est idéal pour des petits site.

Image name “google-ads” doesn’t appear on medias and on site

I discovered a strange behavior after having troubles in the display of certain thumbnails/images (on site and on the medias library).

After disabling all plugins and reinstall a basic theme, I noticed that my problem was not fixed. The image was nicely uploaded on server, but the image never show.

Here what appends :

I noticed that this only happened with files that contain “google-ads” in their name, or that begin with “google-adwords”. It’s very problematic for me because it’s important for my SEO to be able to name images as I want.

wordpress add extra images to gallery

Hello !

I’m getting mad. Really. I’m finishing a website for a friend. Everything is working fine except the WP gallery. The theme is Clementine (Clementine child) by theme forest.

Concretely : to create a gallery I use ‘add media’ and ‘create gallery’ >
but when i publish it, extra images are appearing from the library in the gallery !! In fact, each time i upload a new image wordpress add it to the gallery !
