how to restrict access to pdfs in the members’ area

Hi,

Some pages in my members area contain pdfs. These files can only be viewed by members who are logged in.
Can I restrict a folder with the pdfs?
Any solutions? Does anyone know how to solve it?

Hello.
I am building a travel website with Elementor and I’d like to create a members area where the users will be able to see which trips they’ve booked as well as what deposit they’ve paid and how much more is left to pay (like a reminder).
Can you please advise me how to achieve that the easiest way possible as I am not a developer? I have reviewed several plugins (free and paid) but they don’t serve my needs exactly.

Members trouble logging in

When members are trying to login my account screen comes up with the options Log out or Account with my profile picture (i’m admin)? When they then click account it just takes them to home page.

why is this happening?

Not sure if it is linked, but i cannot log in on the members area. If i do it takes me to my account sceen, the admin bar does not appear, if i click account or log out it takes me to home page. We have a quick link login section on the home page, if i log in here i go straight to dashboard.

Doubt about Taxonomies and Post Types

I would like to use the plugin to create a structure for my members area, following this logic:

Category (Taxonomies) > Course (Taxonomies) > Module (Taxonomies) > Class (Post Types)

All the above options should open a file page and have URL hierarchy: https://mysite.com/tech/iphone/ios/introduction

Is it possible to do this with this plugin? If so, how do I do it? If not, any recommendations for a plugin?

Redirect user to a personal page based on Username

How can I redirect automatically an user after login to his specific personal page? The page is based on his Username ID: sitename.com/username (registered in Users).

I want each user be redirect to a different page (his page), but the URL will have the same structure, like above (/username). I looking for a method to criate a specific and dynamic member area. Each member with his page, redirected to this page after login.

Example: sitename.com/login (after login–>) sitename.com/jonhjonh

I’m not using WooCommerce (there are some member’s plugin for this?). I’m not looking for redirect by role. I don’t know the field code to USERNAME (please tell me) and I don’t know where (file, header or footer) to put the redirect code.

Hello everyone,

a client is asking for the following to be done:

He wants a sub-page that only logged in users can access, where they can download documents for internal use.

There should be a link on the site, titled “Staff-Login”. If you click that, you get to a login page (NOT for the WordPress Dashboard, so no redirect to /wp-admin/) with a login form and after you have entered your username/password, you’ll get redirected to the actual documents-page.

I’m still fairly new to WordPress and I know that I can check if a user is logged in. However, I was wondering if it is actually possible to have a login-form on a subpage, that doesn’t redirect to the WordPress Dashboard?

jobs board and members page plugin

I am looking for some advice on getting a plugin with the following requirements:

1. Has a paid membership area.
2. A jobs board where members pay for job info.
3. Members have a public web page where they can upload photos, info and a link to their website.

I have been searching around and have found these items separately but not in one package.
I was hoping someone had created a similar site and would put a few ideas forward. Thank you

Members Log-In and Redirect

I require a plugin that allows for certain users (who are registred in a database in WordPress) to log in, and when they do it redirects to additional Navigation links. For example;

Public Navigation: Home | Link | Link 2 | Link 3 | Contact

Does anyone know of a good plugin that does this? And will I need to create the site twice (using the WordPress multi-site function)? E.g. have the additional pages in the second site, so that once members are logged in, they are taken to the entire second site?

The members only need a username and password to log in (possibly a CAPTCHA).

Let me know your advice, as I am fairly new to WordPress.

In a members area registered users can checkmark and / or enter data into cells of predifined rows and columns. Process should be as follows:

User can register on the WP-Site
He gets login data e.g. by email (username, psswd) to enter members area
In the members he sees a table. Certain cells he can checkmark in others he can enter text. He is only allowed to edit this page (table). Nothing else on the entire site!
After he is done he can save his data and leave the page

Other members can view his data and enter their own info or check cells (peferably he can only enter / modify his own data)
No member can enter the dashboard or enter the admin of the wordpress site

Question: Which plugins I need to install and handle this process? I need a solution which is super easy to work with for the (dump) end-user. Maybe front-end editing would be an option?

I checked wpdatatables-plugin (https://wpdatatables.com/) but I think it is too much for my need. I also have seen these plugins. Not sure if they will fulfill the task: Pie Register (Plugin), Sidebar Login (Plugin), User Access Manager (Plugin)
