The site will be a job site similar to LinkedIn in a way but without the social aspect. Mostly a skills database.
People looking for work will add their profile which will include things like personal details area, skills etc.
Recruiters or companies will be able to do advanced searches for all the details available on the profiles including age, area, skills etc. Then all the people who match the filter will pop up with a photo and some details from their profile showing how strong the match is perhaps with some sort of marker percent or colour.
I have been designing WordPress for many years but never created anything like this so Im honestly have no direction whatsoever. Would appreciate some help on which plugins etc. to use. Assuming I need a membership type plugin and perhaps an advanced search plugin.
Thanks in advance.
]]>My client has a current website I created a year ago with your plugin in the backend. We may be looking at Members paying a small fee to access certain information/videos etc. Currently ADMIN just ADD new Members for FREE and add them in MANUALLY.
We have NO registration form as yet required. BUT if they are going to look at PAID MEMBERSHIPS, then we would need a REgistration form.
Do you have a set Registration form? Can the fields be edited in the Registration form? Can we send a link to ONLY relevant people for that Registration form as we DON”T want that Registration form MADE available in GOOGLE Searches OR the public, ONLY sending that URL link to certain people that are INVITED to Register to become Members.
Does your plugin allow for yearly or monthly memberships ?
Can this be linked to Stripe or Paypal ?
Is there a particular REGISTRATION form that can be completed for this that ADMIN can send to particular customers they would like to join as MEMBER?
Do you have some documentation and instructions on this please?
Once the MEMBER logins via the domainname.com.au/login page (using your shortcode), I have set it so it auto redirects them to the domainname.com.au/membership-account/ page which has relevant Dashboard and PAGE links/videos that MEMBER can view.
I have the MEMBERS DASHBOARD on the left and “MEMBERSHIP TYPE/BILLING” and MY ACCOUNT on the right.
Do you have some sample sites or live sites that I can view so I can see how to make this page look MORE appealling for the MEMBERS area please? So I can redesign it to look nicer. But I need some ideas to see how others have done it etc.
Thanks in advance for your help
Kristin
]]>My client site has been live for a few months. We are fine-tuning things.
My client ONLY wants to ADD members in MANUALLY for now.
Currently when my client has to ADD a New Member, they have to first go to “Add New User” choose the ROLE (which we created as NEW MEMBER instead of CUSTOMER) and Save and/or choose to send that new User a login page link and Password reset etc.
THEN ADMIN have go find that particular new User and then ADD that new User as a MEMBER … This seems bit long winded.
Can we somehow AVOID a 2 step process please AND have it as 1 step instead somehow? Maybe there is a way that I am NOT aware of. I remember asking when we set it up a while back, but now I need to ensure that there is NO other option here?
Is there a way ADMIN can manually ADD a New USER & ADD them to the MEMBERSHIP also at the same time. It seems to be a pain that we have to do it twice, and client getting bit frustrated.
Thanks
]]>I’ve got a client site who has the Free Memberships Pro plugin installed.
Could you confirm the current version is 2.12.8 please?
Is there some documentation that we can follow for membership area please?
I’ve got to do some changes and ensure that ONLY Members can see certain videos/files and certain pages when they login. They have to have Membership BEFORE they can gain access to the Membership area.
ALSO HOW can we CHANGE the Login page to make it look bit more professional (very generic) ? Currently it is domainname.com.au/login page which uses your shortcode [pmpro_login] rather that just the standard Username & Password?
I assume we can ADD a background image to that page ?
Also since I installed your plugin a while ago, when I login to the backend domainname.com.au/wp-admin, it redirects to the SAME screen that the Registered Memberships Customer logins into RATHER than the wp-admin area for some reason.
That is a pain and its done that since I installed the plugin over 6 months ago. I have just let it go for now, but would PREFER to have the wp-admin login for ADMINS to work as it should and as your plugin seems to bypass that option I am NOT sure what to do here? The client is wanting to login on Monday, but I DON’T want them to see that when they try to login to domainname.com.au/wp-admin that it REDIRECTS to domainname.com.au/login page which is a pain.
If you could help and advise with this would be greatly appreciated.
I am NOT sure WHY this happens when admin are trying to login to wp-admin ?
Thanks
]]>The site uses the latest WP and free version of your plugin, and when I used it as my site Admin, it made static versions of the site as presented to non-logged in Members.
https://www.born-again-christian.org/news/
I then tried creating a new member, approved it, and logged in, and ran the plugin from Admin again, this time giving the new member credentials in the plugin section; Advanced > Misc > Basic Auth.
But again it made static copies of the +non-logged in+ views. ie. what you see as a non-member: Just a snippet and top image and invitation to join.
So how do I run the plugin, and get the +full+ articles in the zip file?
Colin
