I’d love help determining if this is possible:

We currently ask members to check off a box if they want to be a mentor and/or if they want to be mentored. It’s a question we integrated into their profile (screenshot of WP dashboard set-up).

If a member checks of that they want to mentor in “Career Transition” and another member requests to be mentored in “Career Transition”, is it possible to trigger a notification to both members letting them know their selections match up? At that point either user can choose to follow-up with the other member by sending a private message through the site.

Is it possible to do this type of “matching up and notifying members” with the existing BuddyPress features? Or would we need to hack/customize the plugin?

Any insight would be extremely helpful! This is our first time working with this plugin.

I hope some one can assist. I am in the beginning stages of creating a website for a charity organisation. I work in IT but have NO clue how to create a site. I have spent weeks trying and am getting no where.

obviously it is non profit and money to get this up and running is not possible. What i need help with:

a mentor to guide me in the right direction to get momentum and possible assist me in taking this design forward. example of help is:

– I have downloaded plugins / widgets but cant figure out how to use them
– Designing layouts and making it work as how it is in my mind (seems impossible at this point)

Please can someone help with their time?

Problem is, I just can’t come up to speed on this. I can’t even really handle blogspot, or Weebly. My excuse is I am basically a writer and wanna-be entrepreneur, and all my energy goes into that.

I have limited means at this time so, naturally, I want to get the best for less, sorry, but that is what I need. In any case I need someone who is a master at this to take me to raise, and I’m sure there are many who could take me along and take care of my needs. In that case I could be a good student and begin to be able to take care of some of it without being hand held.

After all, if someone has already invested in how to do it they can do 10 times faster than I could, not to speak if I actually could do it at all.

I would like to pay as I go along, assuming I have to pay, rather than any lump sum arrangements.

Additionally, I would hope to partner with someone where I can exchange my writing, and management skills for their tech skills,in a win, win situation. I have e commerce ideas as well.

Surely there are people who would be attracted by this opportunity to spread out and participate equity and other wise with another person like me.

I envisioned something like google maps incorporated in it but isn’t necessary.

Any idea of a plugin?
