Have been running this set up for several years with no issues but following a batch of updates now find that the mobile menu is not working. Just turns dark and does not open. Have tried a couple of phones with same result. I assume it is a theme issue “Child Theme Twenty Seventeen” but unsure who to contact to resolve. Any help appreciated.

Hi, I have discovered some issues with my site. I’m the using Generatepress (Avery) theme.

The thing is, when I’m navigating the site while logged in to my admin account in my regular browser, everything looks fine.

But when trying to load the page with another Chrome profile (where I’m not logged in), the site seems broken in several ways.

First of all the logo and the thumbnails aren’t loading at all. Also when entering an article, only sometimes will the featured images and blog photos load.

I first thought this could be an issue with either Litespeed Cache or Perfmatters plugins I’m using, as I had lazy loading of photos activated. I then tried to deactivate both of these plugins and see if it helped, but it didn’t. I also cleared Cloudflare cache to no avail.

In addition to this issue, I’ve also noticed that my site sometimes isn’t loading properly on mobile. Sometimes there will only be text loading (no design at all). And when the design is showing, the mobile menu isn’t working. Nothing happens when clicking it.

So I’m wondering what on earth can be causing all these issues, and how come I only notice them when I’m not logged in as admin? I’m not sure how long this has been going on, but now I’m wondering if all visitors to the site are experiencing these issues and how long it’s been going on.

Any help would be great, as I really need this fixed to make the site usable.

Mobile Menu Not Opening When Using Mobile or Tablet Devices

Hello Everyone,

My header menu hardly works when using a mobile or tablet device. The menu sometimes opens on the home page, but other times it does not. This inconsistency applies similar to all other pages on my website. The menu only opens 20% of the time, and the rest when clicked on it does not. This is very weird, as the menu can still open when the toggle button is clicked on but hardly ever does and it’s very inconsistent unlike other threads I’ve read where the menu appears completely broken.

Things I have tried to fix the issue:

Added an ‘Off-Canvas Menu” element to the Off Canvas section and Toggle Button
Disbaled all plugins installed on my site and reactivaitng them one by one till the issure was resolve dusing a ‘staging site’ environment. This did not fix the issue
Reset Browser, Litespeed and CDN cache.
Opened the webiste in Incognito mode and asked my friends to open the webpage and they had the same inconsistent menu issue.

Could this be a Java script or HTML issue? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot get the anchor mobile menu to function properly on the Sydney Theme

My site is a two page site but only for language reasons, in reality it is a one pager with an anchor menu and a on scroll to top header. On desktop the menu works fine, on mobile the problem is the behavior of the menu window, when the button for the menu is clicked, the menu appears from the side, once you click a menu item it takes you to it, but the mobile menu won’t disappear, and if you try touching the side of the page where the content is, the mobile menu goes away but leaves you at the top of the page. I’ve updated Sydney, I’ve cleared cache, I looked into the options of the menu in customize but nothing addresses this behavior… I have some custom CSS on my site, but I recall this being an issue before the custom CSS was added. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

I have a website VW Maintenance Services Pro Version: 1.0 that has been live for a few years and no problems but I’m now having a issue with the Mobile menu on iPhone the dropdown links won’t click when you click on them, if you hover and press it will open in a new tab ok but not by just clicking how it should do.

Main Menu not working properly on Mobile Device only

I’m currently using WordPress Lifestyles Theme, on a VPS Bluehost Server and have been having issues on “mobile devices only” with the main menu bar as it has reset to some generic main menu bar, and when clicked on becomes a straight drop down list. The menu bar also includes a search option which I did not install, want or use; this issue is happening on every page throughout the website. I just checked the site again and now you cannot even click on the menu – there is no response other than if you want to use the search option. FYI – I’m also using Max Mega Menu plugin for the main menu bar and additional sidebar widgets, which I have temporarily disabled to resolve this issue – will reinstall when resolved.

Menu shows up just fine on desktop, but when I check the ipad and the iphone there is no menu to be found anywhere…so I can’t get to my blog or any other items in mobile view.

I am going to try and add a menu to my footer as well, (something I was planning on anyway) but I really want visitors to be able to navigate from the top of the page on mobile devices too.

I just downloaded this theme and really like it. It works great on my computer. On my mobile phone — an Android — the menu lines show up but when you click on it nothing appears — no pages.
