Hiya, I am really needing to find an way of creating a ‘read more’ link that has these features…

– Allows you to stay on the same page/post url (ie it just folds down the rest of the paragraph)

– Allows you to hide (but reveal with read more link) only parts of the article.

Basically how to do a ‘more’ link like here…

See, the bottom of the article stays intact it just adds in and reveals the features paragraph…

Any ideas on how to do this would be so super greatly appriciated!

I need to remove the “(more…)” links from the callouts on the front page of my site, www.socialwebquickstart.com. I’d like to keep the buttons. How can I find and remove the links? Thanks.

changing the "Read More" wording in blogposts using Skeleton theme

I am using the Skeleton theme with Hybrid as a child theme.

In my blogposts, I’m not sure if it’s the Skeleton theme or Hybrid that causes the break in my blogposts to read like this: “Continue reading “(title of blogpost)” I would like it to break and simply have the words “Read more” or “More.” Any suggestions on how I can code this? I guess there’s something I have to do in the CSS. I see some code in the stylesheet that reads: ‘ /* More link */

Is there something I can do there to alter the wording or the link appearance?

Clicking post links and more links takes to category page rather than the post

Hi all

I have a site that has been working fine for about 10 months. A plugin update failed and I’ve had problems since!

The problem is that clicking post links and more links on any page, including the dashboard links to category page rather than the actual post.

The link is right when you copy the link but for some reason we get redirected to the post category page.

All help will be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed that when readers scrolling the news index on my site click “more” to read an article “/#more-ID” appears on the end of the article URL string.
A few questions:-
1. Is this damaging for SEO and indexing?
2. Why does it happen now? (we recently installed a sitemap plug-in could that be it?).
3. How do we stop this happening as it looks messy if nothing else.

Multi-page Posts Broken?

I just tested out a fresh install of WordPress and I wrote a very very short sample post. In fact, here’s the code for that post.

The more links don’t seem to be working because I get all three pages on the same page despite the more links. Is this a bug in the system?
