Unable to add new users because of error regarding password

Hello,

I manage a multi author blog and add new authors frequently. Recently, I’ve encountered a problem while adding a new author. After adding all the required information, I receive the following error – ERROR: Please enter a password.

I don’t understand how I get this error. Passwords are normally generated automatically.

The error prevents me from adding a new user.

How can this be resolved quickly and easily?

If you use the TwentyFifteen theme on a multi-author blog and wish to display the author byline at the top of the page/post (immediately below the headline, not at the bottom of the page), feel free to download this child theme from my GitHub site and use or modify as you wish.

Multi Author Blog From One Account

Hi all,
I am running a multi-author blog where I am sent posts via email and I as the administrator and editor, edit the posts then put them up on the website. We also have a profile pic and a bio for each author.

At the moment, I have to make a new account on my website for each author, then register for a new wordpress.com account to upload an image to gravatar, then log in separately to the account on my website in order to change the bio and upload posts.

Ideally I’d like to be able to manage posts from one admin account, change profiles from one account, but give each author “ownership” of their articles.

Is this too complicated, or are there plugins to make this possible?

Hi! I LOVE this plugin and just downloaded it last week. I run a website with 26 writers but am the only admin. I seem to be the only one who can see and use this plugin. Is there a way around that? I really like the research everything component that opens when composing a post. Please let me know!

Private posts and Co-Authors

I have a multiple-author blog but each author writes/edits posts that are only for her/his eyes and the eyes of the co-authors.
The default setting for each post is “private”, but then co-authors can’t see/read/edit.
I don’t like to password-protect each post, because then the users would have to remember multiple passwords to use this site.
Is there a way to fix this issue?

How to stop Post Flooding by Authors?

Hello everyone! I’m running a community blog and I all my authors can publish posts immediately (role = Author). Now, I want some plugin or a snippet of code to stop post flooding. This hasn’t occurred to me yet but I’m just taking precautions. By saying flooding, I mean if someone registers and starts hitting Publish button on multiple posts simultaneously.

If a minimum delay between two posts by the same author could be set somehow, the problem would have been solved. Or maybe there are existing plugins but my search result doesn’t show up.

Can anyone help?

Twitter Plugin For Multiple Author Blog

My blog has more than one author. We all use Twitter. We currently publish every blog post on our site to one account – MINE.

I know that I should probably create a blog account and publish our feed to a “blog account.” Okay, fine.

That said, I want all of us to be able to publish our own blog posts on our own Twitter accounts using a WP plugin. Currently, I’m using Twitter Tools and I’ve chatted with Alex King about adding this functionality… not gonna happen in the short term, though.

All that said, I seek a WP plugin that allows customization for the publishing of blog posts by author to their personal Twitter accounts.

Any suggestions?

Manage Multiple Writers Assignments and Workflow

Does anyone know if good solutions for managing multiple writers? I have come across a plugin called To Do Plugin, but I am wondering if there are better solutions.

I am researching solutions that would help manage multiple writers workflow and approval process. The plugin should allow admin user to add writing assignments to specific user accounts. Then each user/writer can use to see what writing work is assigned to them. Only the user/writer that the todo list is assigned to can see their todo list, they cannot see any other user’s writing assingments.

But nothing really addresses creating individual list of stuff to do for each writer/contributor.
