thanks or this great plugin. I am using it to get an ICS file from our vacation planer and show it on our internal homepage.
As vacations are normally multi-day events they are described in ICS like:
BEGIN:VEVENT
DTSTAMP:20230511T064737Z
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20230616
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20230621
SUMMARY:Someone on Vacation
X-MICROSOFT-CDO-ALLDAYEVENT:TRUE
UID:3CXXXXXXXXXXXXXXA4541A3
ATTENDEE;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;CN=Retadcted:mailto:[email protected]
TRANSP:TRANSPARENT
ORGANIZER:mailto:[email protected]
END:VEVENT
What I noticed is that ICS Calendar shows this event starting on 16-06-2023 00:00 and ending 21-06-2023 24:00. What this entry actually means (and my other ICS clients show it correctly) is 16-06-2023/ 00:00 to 21-06-2023 /00:00. So the event (here vacation) only include the 20-06-2023.
Is this an error in the ICS generating software? Or is this the normal way mulit-day events should be specified and ICS calendar is interpreting it incorrectly.
Currently, the ICS-Calendar always shows one day more than the ICS implies to…
Best,
Jan
Thanks!
]]>We are using “Simple Calendar” now for some days on our school’s website and we are quite happy with it. Thanks for your work!
But there’s a problem with displaying the event times of multi-day events in grid view. I display it using the [when]-shortcode, but I also tried using [start-date] – [end-date] without any success.
So when I create a multi-day event in Google Calender (e.g. 10/18/20 to 10/24/20) and show in in grid view, then click/hover on the first day of the event -> everything is fine, the times are shown as “10/18/20 to 10/24/20”
BUT when you click/hover on the second day of the event, for no reason an extra day will be added to the end date, so it then displays “10/18/20 to 10/25/20″
This continues for any further day, so the third day will then show “10/18/20 to 10/26/20″… and so on.
You can also see this problem here: https://gtgs.info/veranstaltungen/
Go to october, and click on the days of the event “Ferienangebot für Kinder mit vollem Hortplatz“. On each further day of the multi-day event the end-date is shifting.
I hope you can help me to fix this problem. Thanks in advance!
Best regards
Oliver
We are also seeing this on our two other websites at www.pack847.com/calendar and www.crew254.org/calendar.
]]>But there is one thing I can not figure out… I am using the list-view display for a Google Calendar and multiday events are displayed for each single day. Is there an option to list the event just once?
What I would like to see (symbolical):
Monday – Wednesday
TheEvent
What I see instead (symbolical):
Monday
TheEvent
Tuesday
TheEvent
Wednesday
TheEvent
I could not find the answer so far, neither in the documentation nor in this forum (there was the same question once, 1 year and 2 months ago by brothersimon, but it was not answered). So thanks for your support!
]]>Thank you for the wonderful plugin! We use it to provid users a possbility to submit events on our website. Unfortunately the users are confused by settings of “recurring events”, so we had to switch it off. But it is still possible to set single day or long events (multi-day).
I’m wondering if it is possible to display long events (sometimes also refered to as “multiday” or “ongoing” events) on all days of an event list. At the moment a long event is only displayed on starting date and not the following days. E.g. we have a long event “test title” lasting from 10.11.2019 to 12.11.2019 and on each day from 9am to 5pm. At the moment the event will only show up on 10.11.2019 9am to 5pm. There is no such event on 11. and 12.
I’ve searched the forum and the EM snippets but can not find a solution to this. Or is the only solution to convert this event to a recurring one? E.g. “test title” is recurring each day from 10. to 12.11.2019?
Thank you in advance for your reply!

The above screenshot hopefully illustrates the problem. The red arrows point to one continuous event and the purple arrows point to another. To fix the display, we’d need to swap the order of the two events displayed on the 12th and 13th of December.
Is this possible, and how would we go about it? Also if this is only possible with the Pro version, then please let me know as well, as we need to find a solution, even if it means purchasing the pro version. But I don’t want to purchase the Pro version if it won’t resolve this issue.
Thank you, I appreciate any assistance we can get with this issue.

]]>The event is not listed for the last day, unless the end time is at least as late in the day as the start time (for example, an event starting at 18:00 on day 1, and ending at 14:00 on day 3, is shown only for days 1 and 2 – see our event from 23-25 March 2018 for an example).
Altering the end time to be at least as late in the day as the start time works around this, but is misleading.
]]>The calendar on Google shows this event spanning all days (including 4th April).
The Simple History calendar on my website shows on all days except the 4th and two duplicate (of the same multi-day event) events on the 1st of April.
Any chance there’s a quick fix for this?
