Especially when working with clients. So many times have we been able to identify the cause of an issue, as we could see that “Oh, this person edited that page last Monday” or “Aha, function x stopped working after updating plugin y”.
It’s also valuable to check if someone else is working on a website, before making major changes, not disturbing each of the others work.
Activity Log is installed on all my websites, and has been for years. It fills a gap that, weirdly enough, is present in a CMS that encourages multiple users and roles.
Highly recommended. Five stars easily
]]>Do you have a public repo so people can assist?
Thanks, this plugin works great and has saved me a lot of time.
]]>Is something like this even possible?
Has anyone came across any solutions that are similar to this?
However, if you’ve got non-Administrators who contribute to your site that need to upload an MP3 then you’ll quickly see massive errors in this plugin’s coding.
First: Each user must input the Client ID and Client Secret in the WordPress back-end. Every other plugin I’ve used that uses Key/Secret settings has the Administrator set these up for everyone, then they set who has access. What Libsyn has done here is incredibly insecure.
But wait, there’s another problem: The permissions checks in LPH for showing the Admin Menu so you can get at the LPH settings and put those in check for ‘administrator’ status, so a non-administrator simply cannot enter this REQUIRED information.
So what does a clever webmaster do? They edit the plugin and change the permissions check from ‘administrator’ to ‘upload_files’ (as it should be) and then hand over the ID/Secret to the contributor.
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE
So the Contributor enters in the ID/Secret and then LPH redirects them to log into Libsyn for no reason whatsoever.
What’s the point of these API keys if you need to log in to Libsyn itself to get this to work?
Do we actually need to give a Contributor full login access to Libsyn to just upload an MP3 via WordPress?
What is going on here? This isn’t just annoying, it’s also incredibly insecure to demand all this broad sharing of credentials.
]]>This is a great plugin for email marketing. But i need to offer to my clients for their send their own newsletters so i want to know if these plugin allow a multi user feauture and a size limit in the subscriber lists.
Multi User i mean for example: Username1 cant see the subscribers lists and campaings created by Username2.
Is that possible?
Thanks.
]]>We have a site that has different editors for different pages. Will those editors still be able to access the stats column? And if so, will they ONLY be able to see those stats?
Our real world example. Our site will have locations: Colorado, Alabama etc.
We want the editor for Colorado to be able to see the Colorado location page stats, and NOT Alabama’s etc.
Thanks,
Aaron
Two improvement suggestion:
This week I wanted to edit the Legal pages. I was shocked to see my pages turned out blank in edit mode with Word count: 0. I thought my site was broken and spend several hours trying to find a solution.
I apparently created the Legal Pages from within the Wp-Insert plugin, probably many years ago. Once created, they look like normal pages. However, you can only edit them from within the plugin. Otherwise they turn up blank with word count: 0, even if the plugin is disabled. If this is the intended behavior of this plugin, it would be better to give users some kind of warning or error message.
This plugin would even be better if site contributors could place their own Ad- Code on the posts they created. A multi-user ad system with revenue sharing I mean.
But many thanks, this plugin is very useful.

Third party options are acceptable.
