There are categories A, B and C with A being used to display FEATURED posts (i.e. I can’t eliminate it).
There are multiple posts in category B with one ALSO in category A (Special #1). There are multiple posts in category C with one ALSO in category A (Special #2).
If I set YARPP to display category B, and I’m viewing Special #1, I see not only all of the posts in B but also Special #2, since it’s related to Special #1 via category A.
If I DISALLOW category A, then Special #1 does not display in any list for the posts in category B.
How do I fix this issue?
]]>However when an event has multiple categories, that’s when we sometimes run into issues. It always uses the image for the category based on alphabetical sorting as far as I can tell.
For example:
My event has multiple categories – Regional Events and Conventions.
I’d like it to show the category image for Regional Events
However it always shows the image for Conventions
I’ve tried changing the order that categories are displayed in settings to the id and also the slug (changing the slug to 1-regional so it will be first) but none of those make a difference, so I think that only affects the order of the categories in a list and nothing to do with the image it uses.
I’ve been hunting for an answer though here and the documentation for over an hour so figured it’s time to ask for help. If anyone can point me in the right direction of a way to either a) choose which image is displayed; or b) a way to specify a default order of images so it will always use the image from the top of that list rather than alphabetically (we only have a small number of categories we use so I could just give them a priority as it likely won’t need to change).
]]>For example, I have a single post named Kawasaki, and that brand offers multiple services(those are my categories), services being: moto hotels, shops, repairs. So the Kawasaki post appears on 3 different occasions. And when I enter from mysite.com/moto-hotels, I want my URL to be mysite.com/moto-hotels/kawasaki. BUT if I enter from mysite.com/shops, I want that to be reflected in my URL and breadcrumbs, meaning it shows as mysite.com/shops/kawasaki.
But for some reason I can’t seem to figure out, the URL always remains the same(same for the breadcrumbs), meaning that my post displays the same category, not changing like I’d want it based on the category(ex. when clicking from mysite.com/shops, the URL still shows as mysite.com/moto-hotels/kawasaki). I’ve tried working it out with Yoast SEO and Permalinks Manager, but to no avail, the problem probably being more complex than I would like it to.
I appreciate any help and tips that may come my way.
]]>Example:
My product “Book with CD” has the categories “Text” and “Audio”.
In my main shop page/Product Catalogue I want this product to show both categories associated to it. As it is now it only shows one category (in this case “Audio” as A is before T in the alphabet).
Is there a way to show all categories associated to each product? On the product page it already shows up, but not on the shop page/product catalogue.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
This is a screenshot?of a few products on my shop page/product catalogue. Leipzig Corpora has the category “Text” in addition to “Lecicon,” but it does not show up here.
According to this, this issue has to do with Astra and not Woocommerce.
]]>Secondly, can they be sorted alphabetically or numerically? They seem to be displaying in order of date last added at the top which isnt necessarily preferred.
]]>I’m hoping you could help. I’ve got 2 product categories. First category is using the Stripe payment gateway, the second category is using COD – Cash On Delivery.
Separately it works perfectly fine. So if a product of either category is in the cart on its own, the correct payment gateway is chosen as assigned.
I’m having an issue when products from both categories are in the cart.
In that case, I get a choice of payment gateway, either Stripe or COD.
When I choose Stripe, then the total amount is charged, even for a product that was meant to be paid by COD.
If I choose COD, then again the whole order is placed with Cash On Delivery even for the product that was meant to be charged by Stripe.
Does your plugin work in this scenario? How does it suppose to work in case of mixed payment gateways?
Thanks, Jo
]]>I have two pages with one map on each, and need to show different categories on each map.
I read this here in Support:
Question:
But now i need a second map with different stores on the same site, how can it be done ?
Answer:
So on page A you do [wpsl category=”x”] and on page B you do [wpsl category=”y”].
My QUESTION : Is there a way to show more than one category? I couldn’t get [wpsl category=”x,y”] to work…
Thanks!
]]>The case is a WooCommerce site for tires. The tires have different categories to them for example: width, height, inch.
I want the customer to be able to do free search in the search bar for example: 225 65 15.
Then i want only tires that match that: width height inch to show up.

(I know it can be done from the dashboard)
Thanks for an excellent plugin!
