1. I am trying to use this plugin to allow the Buddypress group owner to add their own multisite blog to the group, not anyone else’s as this leads to spammy duplicate content. Is this possible?
2. Can I restrict it to list only a certain custom post type?
Thanks for any help,
Johnny

]]>WHAT I GOT:
*I have a path-based multisite setup (subfolder style).
*Two ‘Sites’ Installed in my Network Admin:
a) www.somesite.com
This site has two ‘pages’:
1. HOME 2. PORTFOLIO -> Dropdown subpage: RATIONALE
b) www.somesite.com/me (set up in ‘blog’ style only, no site ‘pages’)
WHAT I WANNA DO/QUESTION:
*The RATIONALE subpage has no content, and I would like to directly link it with site b) www.somesite.com/me that has the blog.
Can I do that?
WHY I WANNA DO THAT [if you’re interested]
I want to use a particular template all across my multisites, but the template’s creator says that it was not tested for multisites and he is not sure if it will work. I still wanna try.
My plan: create multiple ‘Sites’ (blog style) and link them up to ‘Pages’ in original site www.somesite.com
So, will my plan work? Also, please refer back to my original question above in section “WHAT I WANNA DO/QUESTION”
Thank you for your time..
]]>As I have about 30 short review WordPress blogs, some days ago I decided to get them together and set up the subdomain multisite mode on my three separate domains, located with JustHost provider – one as my primary domain and two as add-on domains. I created a blogs.dir directory in each blog, set up wildcard subdomains with my cPanel and made necessary alterations in config.php and .htaccess files according to www.ads-software.com instructions.
My primary domain accepted installation of multisite mode normally and it works OK now.
As for my two add-on domains, they refused to work properly. They created virtual subdomains (websites) with Admin Panel, but the contents of these websites are not recorded in the body of the blogs. Therefore there is nothing to edit or to visit as website with Admin Panel. In the browser I can find my urls addresses, but not with the contents of my websites, but with Just Host advertisements, that is typical for an internal server problem. Besides, if in my primary domain I could see some folders with files in the blogs, dir directory; in my add-on domains I can see absolutely empty blogs.dir directories.
I addressed to JustHost Support to help me resolving this problem, but they could not do it.
That’s why now I decided to ask forum members to help me to find the way out of my problem.
Who can help me?
]]>I have included below code in wp-config.php for some reason.
define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);
But when I hit my site it is showing me error “Error establishing a database connection”. I have also removed the same code from wp-config.php which I included. But still showing same error.
Pls help.
Thanks,
Sonali
I′ve been running a multisite blog on this infrastraucture:
– Windows Server 2003 SP2
– PHP Version 5.2.5
– WordPress 3.2.1
– ISAPI_Rewrite3
Today I want to upload a new plugin, but I don′t have the possibility to click on add plugin, because this function isn′t here. But I′ve found a workaround for uploading plugins: Go to Tools => Import => search the plugins directory. In the past there′s a superadmin site and now I don′t find this again.
I also run a normal (single site) blog at the same machine and at this blog I′m able to see the function “add plugins”, so in my opinion it is definitly a multisite problem.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Marcus
