Header and footer does not appear in a child menu

I am working on a child theme for Twenty Twenty Three to add some additional templates to a Woocommerce site. But, when I activate the child theme I have issues with Header and Footer.

I have header and footer with two navigation menus. One main menu in the header and a secondary one in the footer. All displays perfectly in Twenty Twenty Three.
Then I added a child theme to Twenty Twenty Three. Simple template for part of Woocommerce product and some code in functions.php, but in the front page of the chil theme there are no header or footer. So, no menus either!
I managed to add a new menu to all pages (except front page). I added this menus to templates in header and footer. still, I think I have some issue with the template used in the front page.
In the Full Site Editor the front page appears with a header and footer. But, when I try to visualize the front page header and footer dissapear. The page its correct, except for the header and the footer.

I have three questions:

How can I know for sure which template is assigned to the front page? I read this https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/#home-page-display
Why the FSE is different from the site?
Should I edit Home template or index template?

Menu Updates Not Appearing

HELP! I have tried adding new pages to an existing menu and they don’t appear on the site. When I go back to Appearance > Menus >Main Top the changes are still saved. I tried creating a new menu from scratch. I see it saved under menu’s, but the new navigation edits still don’t appear.

I tried going through the Appearance > Customize > Menus and making a small change, and then updating and publishing the menu, changes save but that still doesn’t appear on the live site either.

Hi Everyone,
I have using theme ‘Understrap’ for my WordPress web application. I have some queries regarding change background color of header (included with WordPress navigation menus) on scroll.
1. In my web application, one div contains WordPress menus in header. Another div tag contains background image. When user scroll down with mouse, the background color of header should change to blue color and header should be sticky.
2. When user scroll up with mouse, the background of header should be transparent.

How to perform this action to be done? Anyone, please provide some suggestions for it.

WordPress version : 5.4.2
Theme: twentytwenty & twentysixteen

I have created five different menus in wordpress.
In a widget I have put three navigation menu linked to 3 different menus.
In the front end, it displays the same menu in the three navigation menu (the desktop horizontal bar menu) instead of the three different ones.
I have tried to change the theme, change the menus, deactivate all plugins. Nothing works. I am out of ideas

So you have any ideas?

I’m trying to get the navigation menu to have nested pages that drop down in a Straight Line as opposed to what appears to be the default nesting behavior of spreading them out laterally

Thank you so much for this plugin! It saved the day after I tried a number of similar plugins. Excellent and easy to use. I’m using it on WP 4.8 with multiple menus and it does exactly what I need it to do. Please keep it alive and compatible for future WP releases… because it’s the only plugin of its kind that actually works! Thanks!

Two navigation menus showing up on my site

Hello,

I am working on upgrading my website and am tinkering with new themes and such on a test site. My problem is that I keep having two navigation menus show up, and one of them has ALL the pages on my site on it. Predictably the site looks like a complete train wreck. I have tried and tried to figure out how to get rid of it – under the “menus” tab it is only showing one menu, yet the other one is most definitely there.

You can see what I mean here.

Strangely, though, my live site, the one I migrated all the content on the test site from, only shows the one menu. See here.

This is driving me crazy. Any help figuring this out is hugely appreciated.

LOVE your plugin. It’s an amazing piece of software and well-maintained. So thanks for that.

Here’s the problem. I have a membership site: https://jupiterjimsmarketingclub.com/

There is ONE menu at the top of all the pages that are readily accessible to the public. Once you log in, there is a completely different Navigation Menu (a Second Menu!) that is ONLY available to members that have already logged in.

The problem is that with your great plugin, I am only allowed to make ONE MENU responsive, when, in fact, I definitely need TWO distinct menus that are responsive in the Navigation Menu at the top of the page.

I am a web designer who is decent at XHTML, CSS, and PHP, so I’m wondering if there’s a workaround that I can implement, OR if you guys planning on adding this DUAL RESPONSIVE MENU feature to a future version? I have not installed or looked at your latest Beta Test Version of your plugin. I am currently using the latest version available to download in www.ads-software.com.

Hi, this is my first post and will not be my last. This is my first WordPress site for a client who wants a blog/website. I really thought it would be easier than it has been and I am catching on I suppose. My problem is I want custom navigation using typography, but I am not sure what to do to achieve this. I have my custom header in place and and added in the Catch Flames WP Theme, however I would like the type to navigate my site. I remove the menu that was showing by using an empty menu and setting the location to the empty menu. See here thebaldpalette.com. What I thought I could do was use the header as background, leave the text out, make each word an image in photoshop, upload to my WP media file, use an image widget to place the text and place URL directions, however I can’t move the site content down where it doesn’t cover the background. I want the header to say 1600px wide, as shown and I want the content to fall slightly below the navigation. Please if anyone has a solution I would deeply appreciate it. I am afraid to break something attempting to write CSS code on my own, but I definitely can follow directions. Thanks
